If we were to restart, I would do it some time after the 2015 season. In a few years (2/3) we would be drafting imaginary players and soon the only players that would be left would be young guys/rookies like Verlander, Cano, Reyes etc...At the rate we have been going I think we have completed over 4 sim years in a year and this pace could even quicken if we went to a 4th sim/week. If and when we ever do restart, we should go back to a year like 1980, similar to Golden Age of Baseball. I think it would be awesome to have guys like Barry Bonds, Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripkin in the draft. Just a thought.
Also Mark makes a great point about Mac users and activity. I'm guessing a third of the league's GMs are Mac users and if a free Mac version is available, activity would definitely be boosted.

I like the idea of turning back the clock, especially when we start running out of real players. As the number of real players declines, so does the interest level. This is definitely something we should look into.

I have no problem with restarting in the future if that is the direction the new simmers want to take. It could be good for the league. Though I really love my team. ;D

This is definitely something we should look into. I honestly don't think it's that way at all. The other league I'm in is about to do Spring Training for 2026, and the league's still as strong as ever. When the number of real-life guys runs down to a minimum and then ends, the league kind of evens out on talent so you don't have a plethora of 8, 9, and 10 AR guys and you have to be resourceful with players.
