Matt, people always reject the idea of encouraging posting, but the alternative is what we have now. Why don't we give it a shot? A message board full of conversation is better than getting ten posts in two days.

There are guys with familes and jobs who post all the time in other leagues about nothing. If you see a thread and you want to write something, then do it. We just need to promote activity and that is the most important thing right now.

I say we see what happens as far as getting more and more on time sims. Then we go from there. I mean, I can't imagine it's diffcult to go find someone that'll be active with trades.

I'm all for a backup simmer....and a 4th sim day a week would be great.....The league moves too slow IMO.

We are not always gonna have "babe of the day" by crazymike. We are also not gonna have this "trying to improve the league" type of threads. We just need something.

I mean i think we should have a sim everyday! Maybe 3 days at a time? That would be awesome.

Say if you got your fan interest boosted 5 points for every 100/200 posts you made. 100/200 posts does take a while (especially in this league) and a 5 point boost is nothing to go crazy about. A 5 point increase in fan interest is significant enough to motivate people to stay active, yet is still small enough for non responsive GMs to not feel punished for their inactivity on the boards.

I agree but what about once the trading deadline has passed? What about those teams who are tanking and have nothing to look at as far as sims? I think the posting would help those GMs a lot.

To Peter's post...
A 5 point increase is still a lot...
I know the huge numbers put up here are from the old BBS boards, but teams need to work to get their fan interest up, much like an older gentleman needs to work to get his cock up. Simply posting, then receiving a 5 point fan interest increase...a little too easy for my liking. Post a lot and suddenly you're in the 90's, with still a non-playoff team? Interest should depend on your team.

I dont the idea of doing fan Interest because i think teams should do that on their own by winning and alot of us have ours in the 80s and such that it wouldn't motivate me to do anything. Cash in the other hand is very important becuase small market teams dont have the money to sign free agents and resign our own stars. Let go D'Backs!

Yes but for non playoff teams that achieve below expectations (which a 5 pt boost would provide)...those 5 points will dissappear within 2 weeks.

Once the trade deadlines passed there should be more sims (more days simmed) since no one has to do the trading in-game. I mean, go ahead and post if it makes you happy, but I don't think people need to be rewarded for doing something they signed up/volunteered to do.

Steve, please don't joke about erectile dysfunction. It's a physically and psychologically debilitating illness that can be really painful to experience. Just be thankful you don't have it. I have to pop pills any time I want my dog to lick peanut butter off my nuts!

Look around: everyone is sitting on their team and very few guys post. The problem is that guys don't feel like they need to/should post. In theory, yeah, you join a sim league assuming you need to post, but that's not the environment of BBSBL and we're trying to change that.

Hey, I'm really truly sorry. I had no idea it affected you. The next time I'm ready to crack an insensitive ED joke, maybe when I see a hilarious viagra commercial, I'll just think of you and hold my tongue.

Yeah, completely agree and we have suggested this before. I just think its fun to have somewhere to talk late at nights and i mean 50 or 100 posts really isn't much at all and everyone should be able to reach it by just posting on a random thread about dwarfs or lil Wayne.

I'm just saying..
There are like 5-6 people that post on the off-topic board. It's the same 5-6 guys that are wanting a reward system for posting.

Don't do coke. I wouldn't do that shit.
Also, Matt. Why would we be in this to reward ourselves? We're trying to encourage others to post. We're the ones who have no problems posting!

Also Matt you just joined this month and have a fair share of posts. You would also reap the benefits! But like Aaron said, if we have some sort of reward system in place, and others see the activity on the boards they too would be motivated to be more active.
