Solid deal, but I'm not a huge fan of Conley so I like it a lot for the Hawks.

east has opened up a ton with the bulls/raps trading away their stars
pistons, knicks, bucks, sixers, magic i think are in
raps should still be in there
i think that leaves two wide open spots. couldn't say that for a long time.

I'll be doing whatever I can to grab one of those spots... It sucks, because out West, I'd be a shoe-in for 40 wins, whereas out East, it's far from a lock.

I wouldn't even call myself a shoe-in. Dealing off Maxiell sets me back. I'll be starting three B defenders. Still expect to make it, but not going to be the same team.

First of all, LOL @ Krup getting this deal considering the Hawks offered me Kristic and a pick for Duncan. Secondly, this trade shows how much BBS GM’s hate talented superstars over the age of 27. Atlanta have stolen Brand in this deal IMO. It’s hard to get anything half way decent for players like Brand in this league, so I’m not hating on the Bulls at all however they only picked up a good/decent prospect in Conley, cap space and a good/hopeful first for one of the best players in the league.

If he were 27, Brand would have been worth a lot more, but the fact that he's 30 & expiring hurts his value.
