i'm beginning to think this deal wasn't vetoed for lack of fairness but rather because it was made out of spite. You sig has a John Amaechi feel to it.

LOL I understand the spite factor but i think a team getting bent over and bitch slapped is more of a reason to veto a deal than for spite. I see where your coming from though. Just throwin in my 2 cents. Still love ya

Im really lost for words. I was thinking what I was gonna say but you know what maybe I'll never be above 500 again, who gives a shit. I m not letting this take over my life and stray away from the foundations that I was raised upon not only in the sim world but in real life as well. I m just dismayed at the lack of respect you have for my personal beliefs Spence, I explain to you how it would be wrong for me to accept another deal after me saying "Deal" to Duce and if it hurts me then so be it but you seem to just kick more dirt in my eyes when I'm down. I understand your trying to help the league, but wouldn't the league be up in arms if I accepted another deal, I sure would be. When it comes to sim basketball my word is like oak I hope you understand that

I think you coulda said, "Hey Duce, I did do this deal out of spite, it was a bad deal and someone else offered me more" Obviously Ive offended you and thats more important then any of the points, problems or beliefs Ive raised, and for that I apologize.

I accept your apology, I understand that your stressed with this CC Habes Piston rape going but I'm not the guy to take advantge of screwing over another guys plans because I made a mistake, I got to deal with them and I have to accept that responsibility, I dont feel its fair for Duce to suffer or any GM for that matter made by a mistake of mine especially after the other deals. Call me stubborn but I have to do what I feel is morally right. Now its over lets all pack a lip and get more Lumley quotes.

Random deep thought...
As much as vetoing sux... it's probably a necessary evil. It keeps the league balanced. Id say most GM's arent as intense about winning as they really need to be in order for the league to remain balanced on its own. You'll always have a large number of GM's who like the league, but arent willing/able to devote the time and effort it takes to really be informed and make reasonable decisions. Or some just dont care enough, they're able to have fun just participating, which is fine considering this league is supposed to be fun as well as competitive.
Long live the veto!

Im not stressed, I just think its lame. I think its pretty lame that you stand up and say your personal beliefs have been disrespected when almost everyone on the board has been doing this to me throughout this whole thread. I really believe you made the mistake of trading for the wrong reasons. I feel as though it is important to have responsibility for the league, not just yourself or your team. Ive run this league on the belief that people care about it as much as I do, but then stuff like this happens and I realize they dont. Its fun, its good, its active, but when it comes down to it people will do whats best for themeselves 99% of the time and to me thats very discouraging. But whatever, that doesnt really matter. Ill just put the trades through and sim.

I still don't understand who the spite was against You didnt see the large amount of dissapointment from the AI trade? You didnt see Andy put his 2 best players on the block. You didnt see Pig start the Sonic give away block? To me it was a very definite change in attitude from many GMs. The spite to me was that Pig thought he had no chance to compete, so why not just trade anyone. And in that process he got poor value for a good player.

Well maybe if the Webber deal would have been vetoed that could have been avoided. Just saying. Guys should be motivated by the deals but then again it is frustrating to see so many guys willing to bend over so can't fault them for being frustrated.

It was frustration. It still is and yes, I still am. Doesn't mean i'm going to deal them for whatever I get. Either way though, i'm just going to keep them and see what happens. Maybe after the Pistons win 2 titles I can have a shot.

Well you are the commish so regardless you have the last say. If you want to veto it then do it dont succumb to peer pressure.
