Pretty bad trade.
Gonna have to step in on this one. Mostly because I think Pig is rushing a bit because hes frustrated.
Not gonna process it like this. If you cant get a better offer in 24 hours I might let this go through, but probably not.

Ehh I think the Suns Pistons was 14 times worse than this and the Magic Pistons was 6 times worse than this. I was going to pretty much offer the same thing for Miller that Duce did.

I never really felt I needed to veto the Webber trade because I thought CC shoulda get ripped in his first trade back. This deal is more out of spite, and I wont allow it.

Spencer, your judgement is respectable.
All I can say is from my point of view is that I feel I was trading potentially Dwight Howard(or another star) and a 1st for Andre Miller.
I mean, whatever you have to do is fine but you let that Chris Webber trade go through and I feel like this trade is not even close to that. I don't think it's fair but you have been stressing to put "league over team" lately and I respect it.

Youre much better and all your top players will be old in 05, but the chance of you still having Hill, Finley and KG is unlikely. I think youve proven you can put together a winner quickly, like you did this offseason. The Hornets have a ton of tradeable assets. I doubt theya re bad for long periods of time.

If Pig comes back and says this is the best offer, Im thinking its because its the best offer he got. If he got a better offer in the next 24 hours, why wouldnt he take it?

Once again, this veto isnt because of how bad the trade is, its because I think hes doing it from spite or frustration.

The more I think about this, the more I hate it.
Pig is a respectable GM, he doesn't need training wheels. If(as you're saying) this deal is horrible then why shouldn't he suffer the consquinces?
Conversly you stress helping the league, and you're shooting down one of Detroit's top competitors... I can't understand that.
I also wanna say Miller is like 25 yrs old and didn't even get 10 ppg last year. I'd say he's worth 1 or 2 draft picks, whether or not they look promising(which i guess we can agree to disagree on the value of those picks).
I think you should reconsider man, I understand your reasoning but I just don't think it's enough to not allow a trade... too far.

If he got a better offer in the next 24 hours, why wouldnt he take it? Hence your punishing Duce not Pig. Who is he trying to spite? you? If you do something out of frustration you should still be held accountable for your actions. This is an even trade that was agreed to. He got more for Miller than the Suns got for Webber.

Maybe I did make the wrong choice here, but my reasoning is sound and will not change. I feel as though Pig is frustrated, and is about to try and go into total rebuild because of it. I think he rushed into this deal, when in fact other deals may be out there. I am very comfortable with vetoing this trade right now, and putting a hold on it until I feel as though Pig is doing this trade because he gets good value, and not because hes frustrated. If I ever feel as though someone is trading out of spite, Ill step in. Tensions run very high in this league and its important that people know Ill continue to try and step in and control them when I can.

Spencer, put it through honestly, no one is gonna offer me better shit, no one ever does, I had a guy who played amongst two of the best players in this game Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash and still put up huge numbers yet no one wants him because his name is Danny Fortson. Dont punish duce because you feel im frustrated Reilly isnt the only one who is entitled to rips in this league. I made a huge mistake in the fantasy draft taking all those young guys and giving them huge ass contracts they didnt deserve, I have to take risks in order to compete with the elite theres no chance in hell i will be above a 5 seed with the lineup i got going now and i doubt anyone else will offer anything better.
