But duce, everyone expected: A A- B A- B- C type ratings from him. who even said that? If you didn't think he'd end up something close to that, than your mentally ill and should seek dru or andy for help...

I don't think he should be that yet. If you had to grade him right now in real life I wouldn't give him A outside or even close A in defense

All nova is tryin to say is that LB wont be the king that i think all of us thought he would be. I doubt he'll become a top 5 player. He'll definitely be top 20 maybe even top 10. As far as the comparison to JJ amd him having a breakout tc at 24 that does not really matter. What matters is the amount of years and tc's a player has endured. I could see LB having a great TC next season but much like JJ whose real good but i wouldnt consider JJ a top 10 guy. Top 20 sure.

my point is that somewhere along the line dudes were using the "everyone thinks lebron is the best player EVER" as an excuse to justify that trade. and i think it's garbage. sorry, but i do. nobody was was bashing the trade based on that line of thinking at all. i would be much more silent about this if there was no attempt of justification to begin with. i was satisfied enough knowing denver had a great playoff run. if you're so comfortable with the trade, stop looking to point out lebron's progression - or lack there of - every chance possible. we already get the damn point.

First off, I respect you and get along with you so I don't want to get into an argument or anything. Just want to throw out my .02. People bashed that trade because he dealt LeBron, who was supposed to be the best player in the league one day, for players who are not thought of as stars. They bashed it because it was LeBron and because they viewed him as a true young superstar. I didn't then, and I don't now. I'm not trying to justify the trade, I didn't even begin talking about LeBron, all I did was back up the point that Ducky made that he doesn't look like a special, superstar player. When he made that deal, the reason people hated it is because they believed LBJ was/would become a superstar player and because Ducky didn't get a superstar back in return. Now, as far as I know, this is the first time anyone brought up LBJ's progress since the deal, since it is his only progress. Everyone was pointing out other players' ratings in here, so I just casually mentioned that he hadn't done anything to back up the posts in the Nuggets trade thread saying that he would be a superstar. Now, I know it's still very early, but with 4 TC's, and 3 RC's, you figure he would be better...so I do think his development has been dissapointing compared to what was expected from him. I don't want to argue or get into a flame war, I just don't see what's so wrong about what ducky, outlawz, or I(whoever you were talking to) were saying.

Na I really bashed the trade because I don't like AK and didn't think Granger was the answer either. I felt Lebron was worth holding onto as he was the #1 option as well as having great potential to get better, not the best but become better than what he already was. I still think it was a very bad deal.

you do realize I got AK, Granger, and kings first... and then traded Granger, Livingston, Kings first + 2 other firsts for Gasol...
So I traded Livingston and Bron and a 1st for AK and Gasol. I truly don't see how that's bad, but meh.

wasn't talking about the big picture but now that you mention it...I'd prefer Livingston, Lebron, and my own firsts than AK and Gasol. Ducky I'm not bashing you here but just being honest

i felt like the gasol trade was awesome for denver. it was a huge part of their winning. but it's irrelevant to this discussion imo. but i'll give credit anyway, if that's what you want...
