I think Andy and I were the only two who did not blow a nut over that deal... Why must you paint Carter and Kobe as gay's? STFU

Lebron is just able to get his first legal drink and you are all ready to write him off. Look at the progression of Joe Johnson's career he didn't blossom til the age of 24 People like to jump to conclusions, or delusions as I like to call them. JJ has always been solid and now he is just a flat out superstar. I wouldn't think uncommon to have a few year period of developing and improvement right?

I'm not writing LeBron off. I'm just saying, if his name wasn't LeBron James, no one would have said that deal was bad.

I'm not writing LeBron off. I'm just saying, if his name wasn't LeBron James, no one would have said that deal was bad. If John Doe could bench press 25 more pounds people wouldn't say he is so weak. If her name wasn't Lindsay Lohan they wouldn't say she's a slut. but it is Lebron James. It's not like he isn't, I don't get why this is becoming such a point of argument. Don't say if his name wasn't, it is. It's that simple

Even if he started with 100potential which he likely did, after this many TC's, he probably doesn't have a ton left in the tank.
He'll get better, but won't be a superstar.

i don't give a damn what his name is, his ONLY weakness is defense, and we all know that problem won't last. it's almost as if saying 'lebron is over rated' has become some kind of cliche, and more importantly an excuse to try to shut people up who didn't like the trade by belittling them. you really think people are stupid enough to think somebody is only good because of his name? well fuck yall too! lol

anyway i was talking to you yeah but i didn't mean to be all personal there. it's just, well for example... i know there are some weaknesses about kevin garnett that don't meet the eye unless you really look DEEP into it, but i don't go trying to justify myself trading him for "2 good players". it wouldn't be fair to the team i dealt him too, it's just selfish(not to name call, just is what it is) justification.
at some point you gotta know you didn't make that deal to win a popularity contest so why try to convince people they're wrong in the first place? let it be.

I'm not trying to convince them their wrong, I was just defending the deal. They think it's bad, fine by me, I see it differently. All I was doing was pointing out that LeBron doesn't look like a superstar like everyone was saying he would be in the trade thread.

They are great ratings, but not the ratings of a superstar, which was what everyone was calling LBJ.
A superstar for me has to be a terrific scorer, a good defender, and good all-around. If LBJ's defense were better, he'd be a superstar.

i hate to keep making this continue, but you're not making any sense to me.
-i really haven't heard anyone say he'll be the best player in the league within in the past couple of seasons.
-i don't see how B- defense isn't good at age 21.
-i definitely don't see how his ratings are not all-around.
i'm not saying he'll be on the level of wade or bryant but certainly he'd be the best player on many teams in his prime at least.
