you got to be fucking kidding me. You have had plently of chances to sign talent to actually give your squad a chance to win more than 40 games a season, maybe even 50. But ducky chose to keep losing and sit on his talent to explode. What do you think I did last year? I was tired of fucking losing every year, I traded my young talent got marbs, got jefferson, then traded to get jrich. I got back dampier and now my team is actually winning again. Besides you have to deal those guys if you want 40 wins or your gm will be packing his bags. Are you fucking serious? I fucked MAX about 6-7 guys the last 2-3 years... fuck off guys. You don't know what the hell you are saying. And last season I did MAX/1year offers, and I got Joe Smith and KVH, 2 of the top fas fucking retards. Oh snap he just called you simon burch

Wouldn't you agree that there are some weak FA pools in real life too though? BBS has had some pretty legit players hit the market over time I think. I think the actuality of it is that any time there are no good FAs available it's usually due to the fact that players who didn't deserve MAX still got MAX. and in time those teams will pay the price for that... but that is just the way I see it. Duce, the only big change in the last few years was Marbz to Bucks... There's rarely any big names.... The last 2 seasons, it has been shit. Oh? So... nevermind Odom to Orlando and nevermind all the other "good but not outstanding" players that switch. Big changes happen all the time, go look at the trade forum. This isn't real life.

Here's the deal with my FA the last few years...
I'd only MAX the most talented players, Marbz, Odom, etc...
After that I was like, well, I either sign them, or land a top pick again. So I landed Josh smith, and now with this new rule, and with another crap FA, I was forced to sign guys like Brezec and KVH to huge contracts. I don't know about you, dan and aaron, but I don't see Brezec and KVH as "Great Players" Aaron isn't whining cuz he was lucky and landed Odom.

I'm talking for future reference, I tried to tank and get top pick every year, so that's my fault. But I honestly did try to sign guys in FA, I wasn't trying to save cap. I didn't want to give shit old guys big contracts, but at the same time, I was willing to spend my money...

But you still tanked, managed to get a livingston, get some more cap, and still get guys like nazr and others who will help you be mediocre again. When you offered those guys maxs in the past your team was crap, and from experiences it seems like fas dont want to go to bad teams, IMO. When lebron gets max by the nuggets your going to be glad you still can max people.

you landed josh smith and KVH to one year deals. You were planning to lose this season again, but spence made that rule where you have to win 40 games in your contract year. With another losing season under your belt and a top rookie, your team would be just like DJS. that was your plan, but that plan failed.

That's what I'm sayinnnnn But to be serious, the Clippers dealt with this same shit in real life. Almost exactly the same shit. I mean I feel for your situation but being a bad team isn't supposed to be a walk in the park. If there was a 40 win rule and a MAX rule in UOSL I would have never rebuilt. But there isn't so it's actually kind of pleasant to be honest. It almost feels like cheating.

Lebron might not like playing for the nuggets for 4 losing seasons. Maybe he wants to walk. That's my point. As much as I'd hate that, it happens. And I feel it makes the league that much better.... What I'm saying, you guys are blaming me for an unsuccessful rebuilding stage, because I wasn't willing to spend. Well I offered at least 6-7 Max offers since I rebuilded. I've offered plenty. But all thats out there, is average players that get overpaid, and old farts. Now Why would I want to MAX Sprewell or some other old guys when I'm rebuilding with 3 19 year olds. It doesn't make any sense!

With another losing season under your belt and a top rookie, your team would be just like DJS. that was your plan, but that plan failed. Well obviously. That's because Spence just threw this rule on me, and I only had one year to act. And this one year was weaker than ever. So I'm screwed, if he had told me sooner, I would have signed guys like Joe Smith and other above average guys to bigger longer contracts. But like I said, why would I, when I'm having a terrefic rebuilding time through drafts. So yeah. Basically the reason I didn't sign many fas, 1-they suck, 2-I could do it through the draft. Basically yall gave me no choice. I'd like to see other teams rebuild successfully in this 4 season, 4o win rule. Many GMs will be fired. Mark my words.

You guys make it seem like every single team in the league has to win. Check any sim league. Any real league (NBA, NFL, etc). There are rebuilding teams. Why exactly are we trying to screw them over here? Sorry, having every single team in the league with 40 wins ain't happening.

sign guys like spree and josh smith and some others to 2-4 year deals. They are still good above 30 years old. Its not like these guys fall over and die on the court. You will win a lot of games if you kept some of those vets mixed with your youth now. Y ou would not be worried about 40 wins.

I dunno ducky, you're 100% right that throwing the rule on you makes it kind of a an unfair dick situation you have to deal with. I have no rebuttal for that. It sucks.

rebuilding should not take more than 4 seasons in a sim league, if it does you are a bad gm and should be fired. dont complain that their is not enough talent in fa to make you win games when your WHOLE PLAN was to lose every game those years

But like I said, in my posiition with really sick young players, and a chance to land a top pick, I just held off on guys like that. Until this year, and look how ugly my team looks now. But whatever, I'm gonna be out of here soon. So I guess it don't matter.

Umm, Ducky, you have no case. Instead of offering Joe Smith and KVH 15 mil deal deals you could have easily gotten them for 7-9 mil which is essentially another Max offer you could have given someone else. Then you could have dealt Smith and KVH a lot easier with a smaller contract and acquired some firsts and repeated this process the past 2 yrs. Also it doesn't help when you give out offers like you gave Primoz Brezec. You been a shitty GM to be blunt. I don't think Ducky is doing what DJ did because simply he isn't as intelligent to do so. I am glad you are in your "contract" year because I simply think someone else could easily make your franchise into a winner fast. I also think if you weren't so spread out in so many sims maybe and I mean maybe could be a better GM. Your moves haven't been about lack of activity but rather stupidity which doesn't indicate being in too many sims hurts but maybe its your lack of attention which can be seen in your lack of quality posts. That same lack of quality you put in your posts is the same lack of quality you put in your team.

I'm confused here. You guys are saying that the Duck should've signed Spree. Uh, did I miss where LeBron and Smith (2 guys that play the same position and are his main core) along with KVH and Christie got traded? The Duck's problem wouldn't have been fixed by maxing out a Spree. There was only one good PG FA.

Well I think the reality here is that you started out with teenagers as the foundation of your team, completely unaware that there would be a 40-win-or-out rule. The more I think about that now, the more I don't like it... the rule shouldn't have been retroactive. But that's really not my call.

And another thing, now I'm going to have to end up trading all the youth I've stored up over the last few years. I'll probably have tot rade Lebron and Smith just so I can reach 40 wins. To me thats ridiculous. Look at the Atlanta Hawks in real life, or the Portland trailblazers. They are going to stay young, even if it means a few more losses each year. They are not going to go trade Josh Smith for VC or Blazers trade Roy for VC. Not gonna happen!

Dan....your not getting the goddamn point. It's very tough to rebuild from the ground up and have a good team in 4 years when all you have to work with is the draft basically...FA is full of 30+ year old players...it makes no fucking sense to sign 33 year olds to 3 year deals and hurt himself cap wise and just get his teamt o win 35-40 games a year just to appease this rule...he'd be killing his team's future just to satisfy this new 40-win rule.
