What does it really do? Not much it seems. People are still doing crapily, when it seems as though they should do well. Im starting to think tat the direction board is alot of trouble for no results. There are still a couple of Gms that although they try hard, they cant field a winner. I dont want to replace these guys. They are good guys, and they add alot to the league. This isnt the NBA, so to replace guys for not succeeding I think is kinda inappropriate. But Id still like the league to be more competitive. So for now, im kinda at a loss.
Any suggestions for creating more competition?

just get rid of the gms who aren't good
get a handful of gms and vote on it...similar to the player contracts in the old bbs
or do a secret ballot, like you did a few days ago, and if someone receives a certain amount of votes, they get booted out

I really like the idea of making the BBSDL. We could even make this into a college game with the up and coming players in that league ran by GM's wanting to be in BBS. I think 4 season span we should evaluate GM's and some will get dropped into the BBSDL while others are promoted into BBS. It would be a cool way to join the league while also providing a cool way to look into future drafts.

Ive always been a proponent of that in the future.

And that would be unfortunate.

I really think the Gm quality in this league is quite comparable to any other league. If we could replace the bottom 2 or 3 Gms this league would be even more amazing.
I guess that if this league was seen as having an elite core of GMs, that winning in itself would be an accomplishment.

What was the intent of the team direction board? To more easily monitor tanking. To more easily replace Gms for doing a poor job. To further increase posting activity. To encourage Gms to win more quickly.

Ok well....
Has anyone been tanking?
Do we have any guidlines as to what exactly doing a bad job is? Do you like have to make the playoffs once every 5 years or something?
I don't think it increases posting activity

If you're not going to actually fire anyone after more than 3 years of sucking then there is no point to the Direction Board.
If you get rid of it, it will allow teams to sit on their picks for 3, 4, 5 years in order to accumulate talent. If that is acceptable, then it's not an issue. But im pretty sure it will happen since it seems plenty of GM's would rather tank for consecutive years than try to improve their teams through trades, FA.

I disagree with R4L, the guy doesn't have aim but is active in the league and has a good team. I'm sure those votes came from bitter people wanting him to be more active trading so they can acquire his talent.
D2A doesn't have a clue how to win and does the bare minimum to be active
Scott, his activity has increased as of late and I know his team was in the cellar for a while when he was out from his knee surgery but Scott is ok in my book for being active and is very accessible too
Kris- Who's that?
KG- Does he have a pulse?
