because it was stupid. the knicks as shitty as they are are still n a division race you do not fight anyone on the court you certainly do not get the crowd involved as we know from ron artest just for that nate and jr are gonna get an extra 5 gms
My assessment
Melo 25 gms nate 15 games Jr Smith 15 games mardy 10 games everyone who got off the bench 1 game

Nate was the first one to raise his fists up.
At midcourt as Melo was back peddaling Nate came up to him and Melo just backed up even more. Probably the funniest part of the whole scenario.
Dave, obviously no one wants fighting in basketball, and everyones involved was pretty lame for being involved. But it happened, so we all have the right to make observations. I dont think any of us thought it was "cool".

How is nate at fault? For sticking up for mardy and the knicks, he is pissed like the rest of new york and the team, they are mad about their season and their play. They took most of it out tonight in the fight, and I dont understand how what nate did is wrong, what mardy did was wrong. Jr smith was at fault, melo was at fault, i dont see how anyone else was at fault, besides sticking up for their teammates. bc it was dumb dan. this isn't a high school basketball game or a game of street ball with your boys. If nate jumped up and stood inbetween the two thats fine but he got right up and raised his fists...for what?

youwrong dave george karl was the first one to speak out when larry brown was fired. When your trapping with a minute 23 left and up by 23 you think your opposing team wont take offense to it.And theres a difference between pushing a guy and when the fight is all broken up and there is a nba legend in mark aguirre between you taking a cheap shot at someone that's in striking distance. if you can't see the difeerence then i dunno what to teall. granted nate is as fault just as much but it should have been over if melo didnt throw that cheap shot typical disgruntled knick fan you are bender. Again this isn't a high school basketball game where you have to empty out the bench. It's professional basketball game in the mecca of basketball where tickets are more expensive then any other arena so as a fan don't tell me you want to see scrubs in for the last 2+ min or you wouldn't want to see a high flying break away dunk. You stick up for nate standing up for his boy but you balk at the fact that Karl was allegedly standing up for his? the whole thing is just ugly for basketball

i said that nate was at fault you call me a disgruntled knicks fan when ur not actually listening to what i am saying . You said that the nuggets starters being in had no involvement and it was just made up. And i said you incorrect it does hold weight and you shouldnt dismiss it. I said nate robinson is at fault he did throw the first punch however melo had his arms around nate robinsons neck when he did throw the punch and after it is all broken up you do not throw a cheap shot while people are seperating you. He's lucky he didnt hit one of the officials or an assistant coach cause then he would have a law suit on his hands as well as a heavy suspension. so before u say im sticking up for my team listen to what im saying. Not once did i say that nate was right bfor sticking up for his boys i said from the beginning it was stupid. dan is the one that says nate isnt at fault.

I am on Dave's side 100%....very childish act by Robinson. Defending teammates by breaking up a fight is fine by me, but if someone starts throwing punches when they're not involved, that's uncalled for. Was Stephen Jackson running into the stands to stand up for Artest ok as well?

I don't give a rats ass if the nuggets starters were in or not. Wise up and be a profesional and deal with it. Or just to throw this wild outlandish idea out there how about next time the knicks play better basketball and maybe win the game!?!?! and get back at the nuggets that way....woooo what a concept

I think rebuilding the Knicks at this point is a huge task. I dont watch the Knicks much, but from what Ive heard they have few pieces that are actually building blocks. There are a ton of Knicks fans in this league so id be curious as to who should stay, and who should go.

well the knicks went all wrong when they dealt away penny, davis, and i think they had another huge expiring they dealt for just more shit contracts. They should have just let these guys walk so they could have had some flexability. They also traded away promising youth for more veterans when they dealt ariza and why would they deal a nice center in nazi for another undersized over paid old PF in Malik Rose? Jerome James is really working out for the knicks too....holy shit this is the worst organization in sports.
