If Aaron gets Amare or Yao from the suns pick, i should give up trying to win again and do a CC type philosophy. Trade my best pick for a good player and then let the team i traded my pick to allow to tell me what trades i can and cant do.

well the original stipulation was he'll keep his roster in tact for the entire season...but i don't want to limit him to that, so he can make deals.
duce has brought up the most valid point so far. unlike everyone else complaining that i "raped" him, he shows both sides. if i hit the lotto and land a top 2, i'm guessing i win....but if that pick falls anywhere below the top 2, cc wins this easily.
read the scouting reports, spence said jj is going to be a franchise player, so it's a safe bet cc takes, instead of falling out of the top 2 and getting stuck with another player, who in all likelihood, isn't up to jj's level.
like krupinski says, time will tell who wins this trade.

I'm posting this deal now, but it's going to be done at the end of the season, essentially the second after the finals. Phoenix trades: Phoenix 02 First Portland 07 First Wally for JJ 2 Upgrades next year The stipulation, CC cannot change his roster unless I ok a deal. The reason I put this in, I do not want to trade away a franchise type talent and have him go out and deal all his picks for nice players, which makes this pick shit. Though this trade essentially gives me a wild card, I feel having Minny and Phx picks give me a legit chance at grabbing a 1/2 pick. If it doesn't land top 2, I'm shit out of luck with picks 3 and on, but I like taking chances, so what the hell. The Portland pick gives me a bit compensation, in case something like that happens. It's obvious why CC does this, as he gets his franchise type talent, guaranteed. Thanks for the easy deal, took us about 10 minutes to come up with it. Now start getting your ass kicked. Suns confirm. I take a risk here and I believe JJ will be a very nice franchise player to have. The only stipulation is that I can't make any deals.

I don't have a problem with the deal but I don't think the stipulation stating the Pistons need to "approve" the Suns deals if any are made is pretty ridiculous. That's totally unrealistic and taking shit to new heights. Other than that I don't have a problem with this deal. Doubt anything is going to be done about it.

How can anyone say we are under rating Joe Johnson? Are we supposed to look at where he was picked alone? From what we've seen so far he looks like one of those guys in fbb that just doesn't like to shoot the ball for some reason.

Portland scouts say cc cant run his team for a year because Aaron owns him by the balls.
we will have more coverage later.

it really depends on that draft pick, but that is exaclty the reason why i didn't go after johnson, my marquis players had to be involved and i felt that all i need to do is develop jrich and let glen rice have his few good years so then we'll be set. plus i know that aaron is a good gm and knows how to make trades that go in his favor. all in all, johnson will be a solid player, but like i said before, if it comes to an amare being draft with aaron's pick, CC will never hear the end of it. By the way, Yao Ming, is a pussy, i would not draft him as a #1 pick ever.

I never weigh in on deals and feel it's not generally my business but the no trades stipulation is a bad thing. Cant have a GM of one team control what GM of other team does. If Aaron wants to make some type of lottery protection thats up to other GM but you cant have a gm dictating what another team does.
My 2 cents

CC is really close to trading himself out of the league. After getting completely worked in the CWebb deal I feel this trade is almost as bad. Mostly because he allows an already stacked team to have 2 top lotto picks in a draft with some potential All-Stars. CC has shown me he doesnt give a fuck about the competitive balance of the league and doing whats best for his club.
As far as the stipulations of the trade I think its ridiculous. Its definitely not something that should be posted, because Im definitely not gonna enforce CC not making other deals. Its just a ridiculous scenario that will probably end CCs short tenure in BBS.
CC you need to send me a PM reasoning why I shouldnt fire you.
