From the 2004 MLB Draft Class...
Justin Verlander Philip Humber Jeff Niemann Jeremy Sowers Homer Bailey Jered Weaver Bill Bray Billy Butler Stephen Drew David Purcey Josh Fields Phil Hughes Taylor Tankersley Blake DeWitt Huston Street Hunter Pence Dustin Pedroia John Bowker
Since these players began pro ball in 2004, and we are in 2007, I made each player 3 years younger than they actually are so that they are the same age here (in 2007) as they were when they broke into the pros in 2004.
These players are in ADDITION to the randomly generated draft class, so the draft should be much deeper than normal.

This looks sick. Too bad we have no picks whatsoever so yeah... Good for the people who can get them

Wow, everyone will get a good player now, it won't just be the first 5 picks.

The one season there is more incoming talent, I don't have any first round picks! Nice!
Also, will we continue to implement real draft classes (like 2005, 06, 07), making the draft much deeper? And are we ever planning on turning back the clocks to an earlier era like the 70s or 80s? If so, how many more seasons do we have here? 10?

I will TRY to get the draft order posted tonight, no promises though (won't be home till late). If I can't get it tonight, it should be in the next few days.
I do wish to continue adding players in the future, but I do not know that it will be every year. Since we move much faster than real life seasons do, we would run out of years to add players after just a few sim seasons. It may be every 2nd or 3rd year that we add players. Not 100% sure at this point. It takes quite a bit of time to do. The list I added I basically had no time to do. An unfortunate situation happened this weekend that caused me to be gone all weekend, and I already had plans to be gone on Monday/Tuesday nights. Ultimately, this led to me adding the 15-20 players in about 3 hours time. With more time, I could have made the players probably closer to real-life than they may be now, although I feel I did a pretty good job given the limited time I had to get them entered.

Is there a database that has the attributes for historical players if we decide to ever revert back?

Look at this kid, kid wins the world series and he thinks he's the tough guy around town. King of the castle... well you are not! I am curious and want to see what direction this league is headed.

Look at Lahman db's...they have a db for ootp 2007, which actually works with ootp5...I use it for the GABL...we're in 1991 now and I only need to tweak about 10% of the players to make them realistic.
With our pace and the year we're in, we should be good for the next 20 seasons---or about another 5 years
