5-2. Somehow. Ran over Detroit and I think split a 4 game series with NYY. Getting amazing production from Sears, Pierzynski, Kielty, Jones. We're scoring a lot more runs than I expected, and since I expect our pitching to come around, I'm starting to think we can win the division. Also, Guardado has five quick saves without giving up a run this year.
However, the minor leaguers are killing me. Mauer's star is fading for some reason--fallen to third ranked offensive prospect, and he's hitting .190. Morneau has gone from like 21st ranked to 72nd. Maybe his injury has something to do with it. Hermida's really my only prospect who's hitting.
However, Durbin and Scott, my top pitching prospects, are both doing big things, and Denard Span looks nasty.

Had a very surprising 6-1 sim, that included winning the first six games of the sim before falling to Florida in a tremendous pitching matchup (Becket v. Glavine). A few of these games were close (highlighted by the first game of the sim, where Armando got a four out save with four strikeouts), but I also absolutely raked in other games.
Floyd got his OPS up over .900, and Mo is hitting well. All of my little utility players that have been forced into action - guys like Timo Perez, Shinjo, Cedeno, Wilson, Philips, Wigginton - have been performing well, perhaps well over their heads. My staff was great, and looks like it'll still be decent without Leiter. I don't see how we can possibly withstand a loss of Glavine to trade (if/when I deal him) because he has just been so outstanding. He actually leads the team in losses with two, but has a 1.87 ERA and a .86 WHIP. Amazing. Trachsel and Seo have also been tremendous, but I'm going to need to make a roster move to fill in for Leiter. Benitez is looking like one of, if not the best, closer in the sim having not given up a run yet this year.
In the minors, no one is hitting particularly well, but Kazmir is pitching to expectations. I might be sending Reyes down if he can't get things going (unless players develop better in OOTP by learning at the MLB level - I don't know yet). I still think I'm going to blow this up because everyone is playing so far above their heads, but it's nice to be 12-7.

5-2 sim. 15-4 on the season.
Took 2 of 3 from Seattle and Texas.
Pavano is just sick. Now 4-0 with a 1.78 ERA.
Halama also still pitching well. 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA, gotta love that from a 5th starter.
Hudson is still winless, it's been 2 times now that Foulke blew a save and cost him a win.
Chavez really had a hot week. 10 RBI's in 7 games, leads my team now.

4-3. Not great overall, my SPs outside of Pedro are just far too unreliable. With Washburn coming in I'm hoping that will make all my other starters better.
However Pedro pitched 2 gems and got me some wins. The bullpen has been outstanding, but it doesn't matter if I can't get the SP and offense clicking at the same time.
I'm thinking what I'm going to do is move Damon to the bottom of the order. He and Nomar are just far too similar to be hitting 1 and 2, and to be honest neither are my type of player.
Kevin Millar's bat impressed, he might get more time in RF.

Another disappointing week for our team going 2-5. This team is inconsistent plain and simple. Both hitting and pitching have been up and down throughout the first 19 games of our season. Hillenbrand and Overbay came back down to earth going through some hitting slumps, not helping our offense which is now going on a roller coaster ride. Our pitching has also been inconsistent with the exception of schilling and randy. Randy, although wining less so far this season has accumulated 36 k’s in only 24 innings pitched with a 3.75 ERA. Schilling, unlike Johnson, has now won 4 out of his first 5 games started giving him a record of 4-0 with a 3.55 ERA to go along with a MLB leading 38 k’s. One of our top pitching prospects, Patterson, keeps on putting up great numbers in the minors and should be called up in the near future. Not being able to win the close games this season, going 0-7 in games decided by 1 run or in extra innings, has not helped our case. Our team so far has not shown the consistency or the ability to play at a high level to be able to compete in our division which makes up look towards the future a lot more than we have before.

3-4 sim. Our pitching continues to do well, but as I expected, the offense is not going to score enough to make the playoffs as currently constructed.

Took 2 of 4 from Texas. Took 1 of 3 from Seattle.
K-Rod has not been that strong lately, though neither has our bullpen, and its only going to get worse with the recent moves. Though he does have 6 saves this year, and striking out a good amount.
Harang has been awesome, though not winning to many games he is going deep into ball games and striking out a lot. He hit 9 one game.
Kevin Appier went the distance in a solid performace got himself his first win vs texas.
Hitting has been strong as of late, but we can not buy a walk for our lives. DaVanon has been hitting the shit out of the ball. Guys like Tim Salmon, Fullmer and Wooten off the bench have been really productive, key hits and home runs. That is good because they could be starting next sim. Guzman has been hitting well also, very good stuff from him.
Going to need to add some triple a guys to the bullpen, might have to call up a starter. Ortiz and Callaway do not seem to be getting the job done.
The minors should be interesting. Ken Harvey is an animal, im going to bring him up, 21 hits 10 home runs, 19 RBIs. 1.155 OPS. Cuddyer and Quillan also hitting very nicely.
Bootcheck got moved to double a, first start goes 9 innings 11 ks 1 bb. He may just need some work before he goes up in triple a, though im not sure about him.
good stuff all around.

2-4 sim... Kennedy is still pitching very well. Baldelli isn't hitting for shit, I'm going to probably call up Crawford to see what he can do. Guzman and Tsao will be getting called up to AAA, maybe we'll see them in the bigs by the end of the year.

6-3 sim.... lucky for the most part. Offense really helped us through hitting 21 HR in 9 games was pretty impressive. One good start out of Buerhle, Colon, and Loaiza was the only good pitching preformances. Everything else really wasn't that great pitching wise. Blown save by Koch, terrible starts by Gary Glover. Garland rocky. Just pitching problems all around. Hopefully the prospects in the future will help that problem. As for the offense, there are no complaints. Team hit well throughout. 21 big flies is a tribute to that. Really looking forward for the future to see how the team develops.

5-3 sim...not too bad. Hitting starting to come around, pitching holding up....hopefully we just hang around until everyone gets healthy.

We're pulling games out and sticking tough at 11-8. Pierre has been a big part of our offense, I'm really glad I moved Dunn to get him. With Guillen, Griffey, Boone, and Casey behind him...we have a real solid offense in my opinion. Scott Williamson continues to be a beast when given save opportunities. Our starters are awful, and I really don't have much AAA help I want to bring up (Madson and George are possiblities but I don't want to rush them).
