4-2, including two wins in extras, and 3 one run games. We're 2nd in SB's which is what I expected, hopefully we keep that up all year. Our pitching is also doing quite solid thus far. Polanco is hitting .529, he's on fire, and Rollins & Figgins are SB machines. We're 21st with only 5 HR's, but I expect to be in the 25-30 range for the year, this team won't hit homers, they'll score by playing small ball.

Nats: 2-4 & 2 GB.
Took 2 of 3 from ATL and then was swept by NYM.
Not a shame for each of Guerrero & Wilkerson & Vidro hitting under the Mendoza Line.
But the sim was no waste... I have the #2 spect in the game now.

3-3 start. Sears absolutely rakes against lefties, and Koskie is a great hitter.
My staff was pretty awesome. Rogers is useless, don't care about him. My four sub-28 starters all had quality starts. 9 ip, 1 er out of Cook and Lohse...they both look like middle of the rotation starters. Don't strike guys out but make some don't get into any trouble. Mays was also very impressive--8 ip, 3 er. Lackey had the strikeouts but gave up 4 earned in 7. With a little improvement, which is fully expected, he should be a good number 2 with his hard stuff.
In the minors, JD Durbin's been unbelievable. 18 ip, 0 er. Definitely getting a call-up soon. Mauer and Hermida are walking, but I'd like to see them hit the ball. Morneau+Tex haven't been good, might send the duo to AA for a bit. Bartlett is begging for some big league PT.

4-2.
Game 1 vs Seattle: W 6-1, Zito had a CG. Game 2 vs Seattle: W 6-5, Castillo walk off HR in 9th Game 3 vs Seattle: L 15-4, Hudson got bombed for 7 ER in 1.2 IP
Game 1 vs LAA: W 1-0, Pavano 8.1 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER. Game 2 vs LAA: W 6-2, Halama 6 IP, 2 ER. Game 3 vs LAA: L 7-5, bullpen blew it in the 8th
Outside of Garret, Castillo, Tejada, my guys haven't been hitting very well, but hopefully they'll pick it up.
all in all, aside from Hudson getting killed and my bullpen blowing it, taking 2 out of 3 in both series' isn't too bad.

4-3. Nice start.
Wakefield had a complete game win and Pedro, Lowe started off well in the first series until Lowe imploded in his second start.
Nomar is just.. ridiculous, Mueller as well.
Percival did great except for one slip up. I really liked the bullpen for the most part.
I hate Burkett, he's garbage.
I think I may adjust the line-up some and now that I understand what certain sliders are giving me, I can do more knowledgeable things here.

3-3. I expect to be mediocre. Kinda want to start from scratch. Like my young offense though.

2-4. We have no pitching when it basically comes down to it.
Jarrod Washburn is really are ace, and a damn good one, but besides him shit blows. Our bullpen is pretty amazing but pretty soon they will get tired, our starters barely lasted one inning. Hitting has been doing alright not as expect. Benji Molina is on fire, hitting everything. I need a back up catcher so he can get some rest now and then.
Adam Kennedy and Guzman have been pretty steady nothing to amazing.
Jeff Davanon is on fire, 3 home runs and 7 rbis. solid sim for him. we need pitching. gotta change some stuff

Chipper Jones tied for the NL lead in HRs
Javy Lopez leads the NL in RBIs
Sheffield tied for the NL lead in Runs
Smoltz has been a dissapointment.. I think it's a fluke that he went 0-2.
3-3 but I'm not worried.

5-1, Piazza took talent hit. That didnt take long but our offense should win a few games alone. If I can just get to postseason with Johan as my ace I have a shot I figure in any series.

Went 4-2, which is surprising since I think I have a pretty weak team, but I played the Nats/Expos and swept them, while the Cubs took two of three from me. I actually think with my current roster I can factor into things a little bit, but there is no sense in being mediocre so I'm still going to be dealing off my veterans if/when the right deal comes along.
My rotation was completely outstanding. Glavine got hit pretty hard in his first game, but beat the Nats in his second start going 7 innings, giving up 2 hits, walking nobody, and throwing barely any pitches. He's putting up a 2.70 ERA after two starts, and is actually putting up the worst numbers of anyone on my staff. Leiter threw a complete gem in his start. We scratched out three runs against Prior and Leiter did the rest, shutting out the Cubs threw 7 on only 80 pitches, 9 K's, 1 walk, and three hits. I also got quality starts out of Seo, Trachsel, and Westbrook. The staff did an amazing job, I'm interested in seeing if any of this can be kept up.
Offensively, the team is lacking, and we're going to struggle to score runs all season. I dealt off my best run producer in Piazza, and a guy like Cliff Floyd is likely out the door as well if we start to lose games. Floyd only batted .182, but his ratings are there to put up an 850+ OPS season. Reyes was a beast across the board, batting .300 with a homer, two steals, 3 RBI and a 1.025 OPS. Mo Vaughn was also extremely productive, hitting two home runs and putting up a .994 OPS. My catching platoon also hit well. The real disappointment was Blalock, but I won't go crazy on it. If he struggles for another sim or two, I'll move him down to the minors, which is kind of where I wanted him anyway (and would have started him had I had the ability to export or the time to send one to bossplaya). He's batting in the .100's and just being highly ineffective. In the pen, Benitez looks like a top notch closer, and I should be able to add a really nice part for him.
In the minors, Wright is raking at Single A, I won't keep him there for long. Kazmir looks like he got hit hard in one start, and better in the other. And I just noticed Adrian Gonzalez has brilliant walks, might not move him after all.

Started off the season pretty poorly at 2-4 our pitching has let us down allowing 4+ runs in 5 out of the six games. Our pitching staff has also giving up 26 walks and has a team opp. avg. of .288 both tied for 25th in the majors. Going to the 11th inning in two occasions this season has not helped our already weak bullpen. On a brighter note Schilling is tied for first in the majors with 17 k’s and our only 2 wins. Webb our top prospect looked good in his first start going 7 strong innings while only giving up 2 ER with 7 k’s. Speaking of young prospects John Patterson has shown a lot in his first two starts in triple A going 17 innings with 2 wins and a 2.65 era. Also Valverde has been moved out of the closer position and moved to the starting rotation because of his A rating as a SP duration. We’ll see how its turns out. Our hitting has been consistent being led by two veterans in the middle of the line ups, Gonzalez and Finley with 11 hrs and 11 rbis combined . Finley tied for first in the majors with 4 hrs. we need more hits and more movement on the bases from the top of our lineup especially with Spivey and Womack . Hopefully we'll have a better week.
