Angels trade: Ervin Santana Jeff Francoeur Mike Cuddyer Angels 2007 1st
Twins Trade: Joe Mauer Jason Lane
I agree. Some people may not like this for me, may be giving up to much. I am fine with that, Mauer is a top notch catcher, while lane will replace Cuddyer. Some times you gotta do what you gotta do, so fuck it.

"Some times you gotta do what you gotta do, so fuck it." So eloquently put. Yes you did give up quite a bit Dan but I like the deal for both teams. This will make your team very good now and Haberman's is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near future,

Mauer is a great player no doubt; you wont find many catchers like him. Cuddyer is a stud that can hit for power and avg while getting his share of walks. Santana looks like he will be a future ace in a year or so, and Francoeur looks like hes gonna be another dirty OF. Good deal for the Angels but great deal for the Twins.

I like it for Aaron, which is something I've been saying to Nanz for a week. That's not a knock on what Dan got - Mauer is Mauer - but for Aaron's situation, I think it makes much more sense.
