Wow, I'm completely alone in this division.

Wow other than Weisberg, well there isn't much. Great deal for the Mets, brings them to a new level.

I'm very excited about this. I actually hate giving up all four of these players - Weisberg is going to be a stud, Nix has potential, Baldiris hits, and Huber was my starting catcher - but it's a move I have to make. My payroll will be around 88 million now, which is high, but not absurd. Beltran gives me a lethal first 5 to my lineup (Reyes, Duncan, Beltran, Ortiz, Anderson), and another A defender, as well as a third A/A speed guy. I think I'm a huge threat now. I love it.

I have small market syndrome.
I feel that I received a solid return for Beltran, considering that when his current contract ends, he will be earning over 20 million per season, which is something the Royals cannot afford.
Baldiris to me seems to be underrated. At 23 he's ready for AA and AAA sooner than later. Not to mention he can play 3 positions. Versatile.
Huber and Nix will both be starters in the pros.
John Weisberg looks to be a solid addition as well. At 21, I like my chances to make him into a solid pro starter, maybe even top end.

Great move Mark. You landed Beltran and still held on to Blade and Wright. You are going to have at the least 200 steals with those 3! Also, your payroll should open up in the next two seasons and you got the NYC market to feed off of so you don't have much to worry about.

It's awesome to have three A/A speed guys at the top of my order, all of which also have A range at their primary position.

Better hope Michalek is pitching when those guys are on base.

Mets>Nationals? ok not yet. Maybe by the end of the season. The NL East, as a whole, is improving. Manas over in Philly has a good thing going as well. Florida is a few years away, but Fusco knows what he's doing. Not sure where Atlanta is at this point.

sweet deal for the mets, can understand KC though when they do not want to pay his 20 mil in their small market.

I don't expect too much this season, but I think in the long run I'll be just fine with the plethora of young pitching that'll come up in the next 2 years.

Honestly I do think that a package that I would have been willing to build around Cain would have been a better deal for KC than a Weisberg based deal. Oh well.
