Dbacks get: Rich Harden
A's get:
walborn doyle rivera polanco (+1 mil) valverde Hess.
I think we really neeeded to make a trade like this. We did give up a ton of talent but at the end of the day Harden is gonna be our ace for many years to come. Walborn is a beast and doyle and Rivera look like young promising pitchers but with our lead slipping away we need a guy like harden to be our stopper. Thanks to the As and good luck.

very reluctant to do this, harden is ridiculous. however, arizona presented a deal i couldn't refuse, the talent in the trade is pretty huge. valverde obviously won't be as good as harden, i hope he can fill in though. this team has so much young talent it should dominate in the coming years. with the loss of my two dominant pitchers, though, i may compete in the division but won't win it.
good luck arizona, maybe this trade pushes you over the edge to dominance. i'll miss harden.

Wow.
Is this mega-deal the precursor to a very busy deadline?

damn... wish I had a chance to offer for Harden, but at least he got good value.
