Coming to Seattle are
SP Josh Beckett 3B/SS Miguel Cabrera
Going to Florida are
OF Vince Sinisi SS Jose Lopez SP Brian Bullington SP Joel Pineiro 3B Pedro Feliz 2B Ruben Castillo
Hate losing both my top specs but I really like Cabrera and his loyalty. Beckett, well hopefully the long ball wont kill me. Been looking for another starter and he will fit in fine.

Um. Ya, if the new GM is gonna use Mikes computer thats one thing, but he needs his own forum ID. Yes, this should be vetoed IMO.

I recommend Paul making some trade blocks and kinda introducing himself because i know he could have gotten some quality offers... especially for previously untouchable players...

completely agree with nanz, where is his trade block? I know tons of gms would have offered for these guys, come on, this can not go through...

That wouldn't be a good deal for one of the two (Cabrera and Beckett), let alone both. Definite veto.

We definitely need to evaluate some things.

I agree Jeff got a sweet deal, however it cannot be vetoed IMO. If it can be, why can Mike's deal with OAK for Zito not be vetoed?
We haven't vetoed deals, and that's never a good practice to start. People never see players the same way, and emotion gets involved.
Jeff got lucky. I had tried the entire time I was in the league to get Miggy from the previous owner and got rebuffed no matter what cause the old guy loved Cabrera. Jeff was there at the right time.
I congratulate him on a good deal and move on.

i agree with the no veto. if we allow it, every trade will have the possibility of being vetoed if it favors someone. take me... i can be a dumbass. but the real problem here is the gm. it is far too sketchy of a situation and i never know if this is paul or mike becuase it is one id. and IMO even if paul gets his own id soon, what has happened makes me still a little skeptical that it might now really be him. personally, i dont want paul in the league. nothing against him, if he is real, but i think we are better finding someone else and have this whole speculation about paul be done with.
also, the trades made sucked. the last gm of the marlins had beckett and cabrera off-limits all the time. for them to go so quickly is a load of bullshit.

with that said......... although i agree no vetoes..... if this paul is fake and this whole situation turns out to be messed up, the trade should be vetoed because that is not fair at all.

I don't think Paul is a fake, I just think that Mike probably didn't handle this situation the right way and making a trade with Paul the first day didn't help either.

Yea, if this deals vetoed then a few should be. Just gonna have to let it go thru and maybe put a probation period on Marlins owner trade wise till he understands the game a little more maybe?

STRONGLY feel that this deal should not be overturned. If this one is overturned, then you get into every deal being scrutinized and complained about. Nobody views talent and trades the same way. This deal has to remain and go through.
If not why are other lopsided deals left alone? You will get into every deal being argued and scrutinized, and that's never a good thing.
I strongly suggest leaving this deal alone.

He doesnt even have a computer it sounds like so certainly isnt used to playing in online lgs. I think a little time to acclimate himself wouldnt be a bad idea before more bad trades are made for the franchise and maybe he decides he doesnt wanna be in lg anymore and they are left in a mess.

We shouldn't allow new Gms to come in and make deals on their first day. Making deals without trade blocks is a bad practice, especially if a guy has never played OOTP.

This deal should not go through, but that is just me. Who is this guy? He does not have an AIM sn, no ID, no trade block, and pulls this trade. This can not go through because we have no idea who is agreeing to this trade.

Josh, you have to realize, this deal gets vetoed because nobody is sure the guy in charge of Florida even exists. We wouldn't veto deals between two regular GMs, but not only did this guy not put up a block, he also didn't have a user name, and posted under Mike's. He had no familiarity at all with the league. You can't apply the principle of vetoing a deal so shady to ANY deal between regular GMs.
