Very happy to finally shore up our closer situation. After the Joey Eischen experiment failed miserable, I turned to Brian Fuentes. He has done admirably, but it is only a matter of time before he implodes like his teammate. With Anderson's acquisition, it provides more a "sure thing" in the role. Though, we all know there is no such thing.
German will give me another young power arm in a revamped bullpen, while Carlos Pena finally gives me a legit 1B backup and quality pinch-hitter.
I gave up the former #1 overall prospect in Mike Hinckley and a solid hitting youngster in Jeremy Reed. However, I am still going for the kill this season, all while rebuilding on the fly. It's not a recommended strategy, but someone has to attempt it.
Special thanks to Chris in Detroit. He is a class act all the way. Really enjoy talking to him.

appreciate it sir, same statements apply
i have little to know hope to win this year or next year, so building a farm system is vital, and with zumaya, hinkley, the ss i just drafted (hes so good i cant even remember his name, haha) and weeks, i have 4 top 20 prospects, and thats good, munson and pena are basically the same player to me, and i have plenty of bullpen arms on a team that shouldnt have plenty of bullpen arms, we're a 100 loss team easy
