should we establish a rule for being post contract year
say a team wins their 40 but falls right back into the pit they desperately tried to get out of. Do they get another 4 years til they are back in the contract year? I think that is lame because they would definitely be fired in real life.
I propose if....
A GM makes it out of his contract year he receives a 3 year contract where he must reach 40 wins 2 out of the next 3 seasons. If not he is back in the contract year.

I think it's a great idea, however this rule needs strict guidlines so it's understood by the entire league.

We already keep an eye on this...
Spencer looks at each case and comes up with what he feels are realistic and appropriate expectations/goals...

I just think it would be cooler if we made this more strict and more public. Coaches in real life get pressure all the time to win and if they aren't they are in the media.

People get confused enough by it as it is. I think the system is fine.
