- Signing players during off-season free agency with the intention of trading them is not encouraged. You may not trade these players until July 1. After this time you may trade them.
The was the old one. The new one will allow teams to trade them after June 1. With the old rule teams had just one month to trade them. This way teams have more time. What do you guys think?

I'm ok either way. I can understand reasons for both.

Don't have a problem with it, but I don't think that we should change a rule in the middle of a season to help someone out. Better to work on it and then put it in place for the next year.
Just my opinion.

I dunno, long as rule change is posted which it was and it affects everyone equally which it does I dont have a problem in this particular case. I know it affects the trade I made but if the majority wants us to wait till July 1 thats fine with me, hell I may find a cheaper option by then anyway who knows. It gives everyone a chance to trade FA's they signed this offseason if they so desire.
I am fine either way though as I said earlier.

I really was thinking of doing this before the ATl trade. Soo really it has nothing to do with helping domeone out.

June 1st is good for bringing draftees on the team and opening up them as well as the recent signees in that season's free agency for trade.

I strongly feel that July 1 should remain the same.
But NEVER, EVER should rules be changed mid-season. Anything that comes up during a season should be put up to vote in the offseason, and changed at that time.

Everytime I put anything to a vote someone say that the wrong thing to do. Everytime I do something someone say I should of had a vote soo from now on I'm just going to do what ever is best for BBSBL.

I'm just going to do what ever is best for BBSBL. That is how it should be ALL THE TIME. I don't have a problem with that, but that being said, rules should not change during the season, period. No matter how you do it, whether it's a vote or something you just do, you're always going to have people that don't agree. I know we don't always see eye to eye, but just keep in mind I only care about the league - I don't care what anyone thinks of me. I'm just concerned about the state of the league, as I know other owners are also.

Its always best to implement rules the following season. Regardless of whether its a majority vote of GMs, or just the decision by the commish, waiting till the next season to implement the rules makes the decisions seem more professional.

I agree 100% with waiting to implement new rules until the following season.

Rules are never changed midseason in any professional sport...it's best to wait until the offseason as most people seem to think.

But this is not professional sport and it happens in sims all the time. I can't take it back now and I'm not going too. Seeing thatBBSBL is not going soo great rigth now I feel like this may help get people alit more in to it and that why it could not wait to nexts year. Plus professional sport have change during the season. Look if half of you guys want me to step down I will.

It isnt about you stepping down Mike, its about developing this league, and developing you as a commish. I dont think its that big of a deal if you change the rule now, Im just saying, in future cases, maybe wait until the next year.

Do not worry about it you are still learning the ropes and becoming adjusted to the commish position. It is not that big of a deal.

Yea...it's tough, but once you find a consistent way of doing things, it'll be smooth sailing...the first two seasons are always rough.
