I think we need to establish a committe of guys who will essentially act as co-commishes. I know there is a group of guys with a lot of experience with OOTP leagues who know how to keep leagues active and have prior experience with sim. They can help monitor GM activity, the draft, all kinds of things around the league.
I just think there should be other people with decisive say around here other than Mike, because he's acting really only as a simmer and that's dangerous. The draft is dead. Oakland isn't filled. I don't want these things to accumulate.
Anyone else see the need?

I completely agree, these things should be addressed really soon. The league will die if things keep going at this pace.

Thats cool with me. But I don't think we need a committe. I think just one other guy would be fine. Some one to Watch the Draft and other small things. I really don't see the need to have more then just that.

I was thinking someone else was doing the draft. But if they not I'll take it back over. Thats fine. But I don't want half the people in this to have say over ever thing we do. Plus if you don't think I'm not doing some thing right then PM me or post it here. Its not going to hurt my feelings.

Good stuff, Aaron. I completely agree.
The key to any sim league is information and feedback. Owners need to know what is going on. There needs to be set rules and schedules in place. The worst thing that can happen is we get into a rut, where there are tons of questions and no answers.
We all appreciate Mike stepping up and taking over the official "Commissioner" duties. But, the league has definitely taken a severe hit in the information department, with Duce's departure.
I will volunteer to help in any way I can. I have access to the league board throughout the day, and will attempt to strum up activity as best that I can. I noticed that with the first sim of the season, Mike neglected to post any of the details of the sim. Injuries, Players of the Week, Leader Boards, Power Rankings, etc. Sure, those are available on the league file for the those that have the game, and they are EVENTUALLY available once the site is uploaded, but it was a nice feature that Duce added, and I think it should be continued. I can continue to post that if no one minds. That doesn't take but 30 seconds.
One thing that Duce did well, (and I need to be careful from tooting his horn so much, but he was a great Commissioner) is udpates. When there was an issue, he was right on top of it. And, consequently, because of that, there really wasn't many issues. He made firm decisions and stuck by them. He had rules firmly in place, and left no gray areas. These are just some of the traits a Commissioner of a GOOD league must possess.
As I said before, I will help in any way I can. I just need Mike to let me know what he needs help with. I don't have the time to be a full-time Commissioner, or, I would have volunteered to do it when it was open. But, I definitely want to see this league survive, and will do whatever I can to ensure that.

As of now, we all have a say on everything, because there is no authority being exhibited whatsoever. A committee would actually limit that, as well as keep the league running smoothly. Someone runs the draft, someone sims, someone tallies up additional cash earned through rewards and what not, someone does extensions, etc. It wouldn't amount to that many people (if you're worried about too much outside influence on league ideas) and would make the league more active and enjoyable.
