he's kind of unhappy about more then likely being given the boot but he's holding no grudges nor not accepting the decision. He's accepted it but of course Spence holds the final decision on this.
I offered him to be my Asst, which he also has accepted because he wants to stick with his own team... basically having full control just simply coming to me before any trade was made. I would also give him the benefit of the doubt and ask him before I made any deals but I let him know that just because he disagreed doesn't mean I wouldn't do a deal.
I told Lumley this doesn't mean he has to be any less active, plus he won't have to DCs anymore which he hates.

So this is what Ive decided I think.
Chris will be the GM next year. Lums the Asst. Chris will get the next open team, and the Kings will go back to Lums after Chris leaves. I want Chris to have main control of the Kings hoping he can make them a playoff team. The Kings have none of their own picks so it doesnt make sense for them to rebuild any time soon. They need to constant be looking to compete.

that seems like a fair plan, lumley stays and will get his team back in the end.

Lums keeps the Kings, but gets demoted essentially. Martinez shouldnt lose his chance at a long term team because of this situation.

This is 2007. The Draft is the beginning of each season. So the next Draft is the 2008 Draft. The next season is the 2008 season.

Then Skillz. if a team opens up I might move Chris to that new team and Skillz to Sacramento. Id like for Lums to be out as head man for at least 1 year. There has to be some kind of punishment for losing in your contract year.
