7'3 266lbs 20 Center UCONN Strengths: A mammoth of a man. A naturally excellent defender. Despite size can get up and down the floor. Gets the ball inside and always finishes. Weaknesses: Still a project player on the offensive side of the ball. Post moves need alot of work. Notes: Thabeet is a very interesting project player. He has all the tools to be a top-tier center in the BBS. If he declares though, expect him to be stashed on the bench for a couple of seasons though. Scouts believe he should atleast stay another year at UConn and improve his offensive ability. Would be a lock for lotto even if he were to declare this year. Potential rookie ratings: C+ C- D+ B B- A

Looks like he could be an Olowokandi type player.

He's awful. Really, really bad at basketball. Im not even saying hes a good real life prospect, but hes a fun player to have in FBB because his game can be made so that hes a huge difference maker.

umm he is definitely not a horrible basketball player. He is nasty. Very athletic for his size, unpolished offensive game with no post game but can throw it down with authority. High riser on dunks/alley oops. Absolutely a force on defense he blocks everything in site. He is going to be a force in the big east this season and I wouldn't be surprised if he declares for the draft next year and is a top 10 pick.

Considering he is only a sophomore, wouldn't C D+ D+ B C+ A type ratings be a bit more realistic?

Considering he is only a sophomore, wouldn't C D+ D+ B C+ A type ratings be a bit more realistic? shot 55% and avg 4bpg in 20mpg his freshman year 6ppg 6rpg 3.8bpg in 25 minutes... He can only score 3 baskets a game? I'm sorry but that equals to C inside scoring. Sure he's a good shot blocker, but let's say you give him 75 shot blocking and 15 stealing, 10 perimeter defense, 40 post defense, 40 driving defense. That would equal into C+ defense. So shot blocking isn't everything when it comes to defense. I think C D+ D+ B C+ A is more than fine. Even that is pushing it a bit.

Being in the Big East I saw more Habeet than anyone here. He was no way near a focal point of the offense playing in a very balanced offense. UConn was such a young team last year mostly consisting of FR. and SO. How can you argue with 55 fg% either? Also he had 6 games where he had 7 blocks or more, highest being 10. Watch out this year Habeet is going to be huge force in college basketball.

These guys dont have to be exactly what they are in real life. Maybe Spence wants this guy to be a surprise. I hate when people assume to know what prospects are going to be in the future. I think Spence is trying to have some fun with ratings and make things a lot more unpredictable.

I really wish wed talk about what this guy is gonna be based on the ratings shown, instead of people arguing that they know his game better. I dont really care what Thabeet will be in RL, I just want him to be an interesting BBS prospect.
