Thought Id do a little overview on career leaders in the BBS. This is before this season....
Games....
1.Shareef Abdur-Rahim 982
2. Rashard Lewis 970
3. Tracy McGrady 966
4.Robert Traylor 964
5. Al Harrington 962
5. Paul Pierce 962
7. Zydrunas Ilgasukas 961
8.Stephon Marbury 960
9.Chauncey Billups 959
10.Jamie Feick 957
All of these guys are still playing. Rahim has averaged about 82 games a year for the enitirity of the league, which is pretty impressive. This year he has not played much though so he will fall. McGrady and Harrington are still relatively young and good, so they should both play another 400 games or so in BBS.
Points...
1.Kobe Bryant 26976
2.Dirk Nowitzki 24219
3.Kevin Garnett 23320
4.Allen Iverson 22273
5.Tim Duncan 21915
6.Shaquille O'Neal 21838
7.Elton Brand 21632
8.Danny Fortson 21425
9.Tracy McGrady 20899
10.Dwyane Wade 20876
Kobe Bryant is probably the most prolific scorer in the history of BBS regardless of whether we sim 20 seasons or 100 seasons. Hes just better then everyone else. His 29.2 average is MJ and Wilt status. Wade is someone that should be a top 3 guy by the end of his career. Danny Fortson was probably the biggest surprise of the BBS. He has had himself a great career.
Rebounds...
1.Danny Fortson 11389
2.Tim Duncan 11124
3.Ben Wallace 11038
4.Kevin Garnett 10147
5.Jermaine O'Neal 10011
6.Elton Brand 9876
7.Michael Olowokandi 9733
8.Zydrunas Ilgauaskas 9618
9.Shaquille O'Neal 9539
10.Chris Webber 9488
We all knew Fortson was good in BBS< but its amazing to see how high he is on some of the career leader boards. To lead all rebounders is just crazy. Forston averaged nearly 12 rebounds a game over his BBS career. Brand is also at about 12 a game, so he could so overtake Fortson at some point.
Assists...
1.Stephon Marbury 8761
2.Steve Nash 8054
3.Jason Kidd 7965
4.Mike Bibby 7852
5.Tony Parker 6849
6.Baron Davis 6721
7.Steve Francis 5744
8.Chauncey Billups 5706
9.Gilbert Arenas 5591
10.Manu Ginobili 5393
Marbury was the best PG in the league from the start it seemed. His defense has declined to the point that he is only a backup now. Nash and Kidd are about done, while Bibby is still going strong. he could start for another 3 years easily. Parker is the best PG in the league, and will be the top assist guy at some point. He averages over 9 a game for his career, but has over 10 per over the last 5 years. Davis would have a shot at the top spot, but he's a SG now. Chris Paul is the guy that has a shot in the long term future to make a name on this list.
More to come....
