Welcome ladies to a special edition of the hot seat. Today we are joined by the reigning champs and the GM that orchestrated that team, Pig. We are also joined by kangoroo expert and GM of the Warriors, James, and last but not least Nova, GM of the the New Orleans Hornets.
Welcome to the hot seat guys.
James:Thanks, it’s great to be here
Let's start off talking about the champs. Pig did you see yourself being able to beat the Knicks? Did any of you guys see him beating the Knicks? Will the Sonics repeat?
Pig: Without Granger no not at all. The Knicks were supposidly "unbeatable" and I did it with Nelson-Bryant-Bogut-Curry-Nezdad as my starting lineup. This is what fucking annoys me when people get on Outlawz nuts when he rips some guy off. If I can beat the so called "unbeatable" team and sweep the last 3 games with fucking Nelson, Bogut and Neznad Fucking Sianovic then anyone decent can beat the team. Note to league: Stop fucking bitching, do your homework, make some mismatches in the DC and anything can happen if you exploit certain things. With this said I am no mastermind of FBB like my fellow aussie chap mate bloke James and probably won the series on sheer luck but people throwing in the fucking towel before a game has been played is a joke.
James: did not see the Sonics beating the Knicks. New York had a far superior team on paper and throughout the regular season. When the Knicks were up 2-1 and Danny Granger had suffered an injury, I expected (like most of the league) for New York to take the win 4-1. As it turned out, the Sonics won 3 games straight on route to their first BBS championship
Nova: I'll be honest, I didn't think the Sonics stood much chance of beating the Knicks, but low and behold, they did. The duo of Kobe Bryant & Danny Granger was as lethal as any last season, and they were just outstanding in the postseason. Eddy Curry was the key though in my opinion, and he has now won 2 rings in 3 seasons with two different teams. I do think they will repeat as they only got stronger in the offseason, and in my opinion, are the most well-rounded team in the league.
Let's talk about the offseason. What were your plans for the offseason and do you guys think you accomplished your goals? Where do you expect your team to be this season and are there more moves to be made?
Pig: My plans this offseason was just to trade with no purpose and hopefully get lucky. I felt like I have a much better team then last year, although people fail to realize it. Blatantly, when I have Lumley telling that his backcourt is better then mine I haven't accomplished too much difference between this year and last years team but I tried. I think Ricky Davis will be instrumental and I now have the ability to press. In a league growing day-by-day with the Aaron Haberman signature "Very Fast-Outside" DC, It feels good going to sleep at night knowing I am putting 3 bad ass perimeter defenders on the court. It is an added bonus that they can all throw down the rock.
Nova: My plans were pretty simple, to make a couple trades to get a little younger, but to also improve. I believe I accomplished that. As much heat as I got for acquiring Andre Iguodola, I believe he's a very solid SG, and while he won't light it up, I think he'll be a nice fit for my team. In addition, in my opinion, acquiring Emeka Okafor was the key move, he is an absolutely terrific defefender and rebounder, and a very solid post player as well. I definitely feel I accomplished my goals, not only did I get younger, but I feel as if I'm much improved from last season. I see myself being a 44-48 win team, and anywhere from the 5th to the 7th seed out East. I don't see myself making any big deals during the season, but I will look to make some smaller deals if necessary.
James: I’m semi satisfied with our off-season. I would have loved to have added Sidney or DeRozan to our team through the draft however we only managed to pick up Koufus at 4. In saying that, he had a very good TC. Batum progressed really well which I was pleased with and Williams had a nice trade off. I loved picking up Bargnani in FA however he declined in TC. I gave him 1 RC and his scoring ratings look a little better now.During the season I want to add some more first round picks to my roster. I also wouldn’t mind moving either Batum or Koufus for a PF/C. Besides from that, I like the situation that we are in right now..
Prediction time. Who will be in the finals and who'll win it all?
Pig: Finals will be Sonics vs Knicks and the Knicks will win because Jameer Nelson isn't around to make Tony Parker his bitch.
James: Seattle will play the Pistons in the final and I see the Sonics winning their second championship in a row thanks to their star studded lineup
Nova: As of this moment, I see the Pistons facing the Sonics in the Finals, with the Sonics repeating. I just feel as if they are the best team in the league, and in my opinion, they really don't have any weaknesses.
Nova this is directed more towards you.. This is your contract year if you were a betting man would you bet on yourself making it out this season alive? What are the Sonics/Warriors beliefs on the Hornets moves and prediction on his contract year outcome? Do they need to make more moves?
Nova: I would definitely bet on myself to make it out of the season as the Hornets GM. I think I've put together a very solid team, and while I'm not a contender, I feel as if my team is going to be tough to beat because we have arguably the best defensive line-up in the league. The offense could be better, but it's still solid, one thing's for sure, Jared Jeffries will be the x-factor off the bench. I feel as if our defense will carry us, and that we are definitely a 40+ win team
James: The BBS is a different sim league, so tactics that you would usually use elsewhere don’t work here (from what I’ve found). Nova’s team has been struggling since the get go so they really need a big kick in the backside. The Hornets were graced with an incredible TC by Ibaka which makes the Hornets stronger than ever. With the East becoming a little bit less strong and the power shifting over to the West slightly, I think they will make the playoffs winning around 45 games. Still, I can’t see them doing anything else besides getting booted in the first round unless some real inroads are made
Pig: Time will tell. The fucking kid cycles his players so much it makes my head spin. However I think he finally has something to get him to the playoffs. The problem Nova has is that he will never win a championship with Marvin Williams as the cornerstone of his team. With the lineup he has now however I think he sneaks in as a 6 or 7 seed. Nova downside is that he is pretty terrible as a coach, he will need to learn how to use the talent around him efficiently which I have full faith in him doing and then he will be set on his way.
If any of you could switch with any team in the league who would it be and why?
Pig: I would switch to Toronto so I could feel the first hand experience of what it is like to be driving in the front seat of a tank.
Nova: Tough question. I'd probably pick New York, because they just have so much young, star talent. They look like they'll be a top team for the next seven-eight years, and it's all a testament to the great job Outlawz has done.
James: I’d switch with Toronto and ride the Oden/Mayo duo to 5 straight championships. The easy life!
Pig.. Funniest story regarding your boys.. Spill the beans
Basone tripped on acid and thought he was Manute Bol.
James... Funniest experience with your pet kangaroo?
I don’t have a pet kangaroo. I never will have a pet kangaroo. My girlfriend lives in the country and hit one the other day in her car. That’s about it, STFU
Nova... I couldnt think of anything
Lol, okay.
If you guys had to name the weakest links in the league.. who would they be and why... Name at least 2 guys
Pig: Lumley and AIGatdula without a doubt. I swear if fucking AIG posts in the FA thread one more fucking time signing a guy who was signed in the previous 4 posts I swear I will blow a gasket. It is like god sent down AIG to piss me off. I mean honestly do you have a fucking personality man. If they had the Filipino version of Stepford Wives fucking AIG would be Matthew fucking Broderick. You can't ever talk trade with him because he's only up during when Lumley is up and Lumley is up when no one else is up, except for me.
Pig: Then we got fucking Lumley who keeps me up all night talking trade and then at like 4:30 am he is like nah I don't want to do it and the process continues itself every night over again. He treated Brandon Roy and Tim Duncan like Golemn on that gay ass fucking ring from Lord of the Rings. Then he trades Roy for shit, trades this asshole for shit, the savior of the franchise is Kyle fucking Singler and if Bob Barker was a point guard he would be younger then the whole starting lineup.
Nova: Lumley & Rommie. Lumley's a nice guy, but he really has no clue what he's doing, and he is really hurting the Kings franchise.
Nova: Rommie has done absolutely nothing to improve the state of the Nets in the last few seasons. They are still a mess, and have no direction.
James: Easy. Lums because he sometimes loses concept of the whole sim league idea and Greg for having a mediocre team for around the last 15 seasons straight; oh, and because he had a chance to level out the playing field of the league and didn’t
Most annoying gm to deal with?
Pig: Now it's Lumley.
Lumley316: jefferson for wade
Lumley316:post it
Lumley shut the fuck up, your not eddie murphy, we don't need you cracking jokes. My whole evening cannot be treated as Amateur Hour at the Apollo.
Nova: Eh, probably Outlawz or Hernando, simply because they are very tough to deal with. That's not a bad thing though, because they are both excellent GM's, and that's why they are so tough to deal with.
James: He isn’t annoying to deal with but I find it hard to get deals done with Reily simply because he will never come out of a trade at the bottom. That’s not a gripe, just an observation. I can’t really think of anyone else…maybe Greg because he accused me of sending him bad offers when I don’t think I’ve ever sent him one in my life, and because he called me a ‘snapperhead’. WTF?
Top 5 players that hold the most value in your mind. Taking into account age, contract, stats, etc

2. LeBron James
3. Dwight Howard
4. Derrick Rose
5. Kevin Durant

Who would win in a fight krup or chris?
Pig: the fans
Nova: Krup, he probably fights dirty.
James: Not sure. I think Chris would be winning easily (ie. Have Krup on the floor, punching repeatedly) but then out of nowhere he’d punch himself in the head and knock himself out because he is very erratic, just like he is as a GM.
Welcome to the hot seat guys.
