The Chicago Bulls have been a dominant team in BBS for nearly a decade under the leadership of former MVP Elton Brand and Manu Ginobili. The Bulls added Dirk Nowitzki a few seasons ago in their quest for a championship which they won in 2005. The Bulls have been looked at as one of the best constructed "team" of BBS history.
Despite having superstars at every position each superstar served his purpose and played a role in the system set up by GM Krupinski. Many questioned him for keeping the tempo so slow and limiting such superstars like Joe Johnson when he spent his time in Chicago as he hasn't been the same player since. While other players struggled other players flourished such as Manu Ginobili.
Manu Ginobili was a project player when he was drafted back in 2000. Manu who was always projected to be a SG/SF but GM Krupinski saw something more in Manu and pushed him to his limits. Immediately GM Krupinski saw it important to develop Manu's passing skills using his first RC on Manu to develop that. Manu on draft day had C+ handles and currently is rated an A- in handles and has been an All-League First Team PG. Manu has been one of the best defenders at the PG position since his move to the position. He is coming off one of his best season where he averaged a career high 15ppg, 10apg, 3spg.
Elton Brand who planned on being a Chicago Bull for life was dealt from Chicago to Atlanta to good friend Bill Bendernagel. Elton should flourish and bring Atlanta back to prominence being the go to guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he were to score 30ppg.
The Bulls only have 1 remaining player on their roster from last season, Tyler Hansbrough, who was a main contributor off the bench for the Bulls. The Bulls have gathered almost a dozen draft picks for their team while regaining enough talent to compete for the playoffs this upcoming season. Other than Z, Prince, and Duhon everyone on the roster is under the age of 24 and some have some good potential.
All good things must come to an end but with an end marks a new beginning.
