10. Ben Wallace
- No player that makes only 40% of his shots and shoots 50% from the free throw line should be making half of your salary cap. Wallace is definitely a force and makes other teams change their offensive focus however the contract of Ben Wallace is a killer one for any team to trying to build a championship contender. Very hard to acquire depth when you invest so much into one player.
9. Andre Miller
- Miller would have been higher on this list if his contract were longer however it is up after next season but this doesn't take away from the fact that Miller should not be making 16 million this season. Miller has been demoted on a young Philly team and Bill Bellemy saw more action in any one Rock'n'Jock in the 90's than Miller has in 82 games.
8. Nene
- Nene is a young player that was simply overrated due to his skill at a young age. At 24 Nene is still a prospect however it seems this PF/C has reached his full potential and it isn't worth 14 mil that he is making which will only increase over his lengthy contract. Nene doesn't do anything particularly well but does a little bit of everything. Lucky for him that New Orleans needed to win now and would pay top dollar to do so.
7. Carlos Boozer
- Boozer is a product of fear. Fear of losing your player to free agency. Boozer was inked up to avoid losing him to the likes of another team because without Boozer the team would have been hurting for scoring and just even bodies. Boozer is a poor defender which hurts his team from getting to the next level.
6. Vince Carter
- Carter is making 20 mil this season and imagine there are two players on his team that get paid more. Carter has always been an above average scorer and pretty good defender but his best days are behind him and GST will never win a championship with Carter suiting up.
5. Stephon Marbury
- Much like the player above Marbury is a team killer with his 20 million dollar deal. Marbury is one of the worst defensive PG's in the league and other teams exploit his laziness and lack of defensive presence. Marbury is the I in team.
4. Chris Webber
- C-Webb was one of the more dominant big men in the league but his knees have limited his mobility which has really caused drop off in his overall play. No way C-Webb deserves 19 mil however with the overall lack of big men talent in the league, Webber is still a valuable commodity.
3. Nenad Krstic
-Nenad much like Boozer was a contract that was signed in fear of losing your player to free agency. Nenad is definitely not a max player but who is to say that no one would have tossed him a generous deal in free agency much like Nene.
2. Steve Francis
-Dubbed the nickname franchise because he consumes your franchise by hogging the ball and using all of your cap while turning the ball over as a league leader for 8 seasons or so.
1. Ousmane Cisse
- Give this man's agent a raise! How did Cisse get a del that is this good and yet still keep a market for his services. Cisse wouldn't be a contributing backup on most teams but yet he is making over 12 mil. This deal is incredible for a guy who can't even make a layup.
Honorable Mention: Tracy McGrady, Ben Gordon, Ray Allen, Antonio Mcdyess, Jared Jeffries, Kenyon Martin, Caron Butler
