Run down of the current BBS trading block.
Guillermo Diaz
2006 rookie of the year. Not needed by Dallas with Kirk Hinrich on board. Diaz is a very talented guard who can get to the hoop and finish and has developing outside shooting, playmaking, and defense. He is on his way to becoming a fine player he just needs playing time.
Asking Price: Young SG/SF or 2008 draft pick. Might be difficult to get a decent player in return due to Diaz's low salary.
Allen Iverson
Seattle seems to be starting a re building and Allen Iverson is avaliable. AI can help a number of teams as he still has 3-4 good years left in him. He still is one of the very best scorers in the league.
Asking Price: Expierings and draft picks.
Larry Hughes/Travis Outlaw
The Timberwolves have been shopping both players for some time now. Hughes is a very nice two guard who plays lock down defense. Outlaw is one of the leagues best perminter defenders and has developed into a 20 point scorer.
Asking Price: Young stud(s), picks
Nene/Ben Gordon
Nene is a load in the middle averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds. The problem with Nene is his low FG%, 40%, and his large contract that owes him $83 million. The fact that good big men are hard to find should get Nene some interest.
Ben Gordon is owed $99 million and lacks great defense but he is one of the leagues very best shooters, he is a gamer. A 6'3 shooting guard that can shoot 50% from the floor is pretty nice. BG can get you 20 points a night easily but is defiantly capable of have a huge scorer game so the defense must keep him under control.
Asking Price:Expierings and draft picks.
Andre Iguodala
Iggy is a fairly unique shooting guard. A pretty good defender Iggy has good ball handling and inside scoring abilities which is rare for a shooting guard. He lacks an outside jump shot that could hurt his value. Still though a young guy like Iggy with solid skills already and potential to develope should attract the interest of plenty of teams.
Asking Price: Seem to be wanting draft picks.
Here is a look at the recent trades made.
Wolves/Jazz (Wright/Law for Jefferson)
I like it for both teams. The Timberwolves don't need Acie Law to much as Jarrett Jack is on the squad and while Brandin Wright is a very nice young talent Al Jefferson is already a nice young player who can still get better. He will help them win more now.
For the Jazz they need more assets and that is what they got here. Acie Law is a pretty nice young point guard who has played well for Minnesota so far this season and Brandin Wright is a young big man with raw talent but looks to be on the right path.
Nets/Pistons (76ers 1rst for Wallace)
I dealt Q Rich (salary filler) and Josh Childress (hopefully he doesn't break out and have a great TC) plus the 76ers 1rst for Gerald Wallace. Just hoping that Wallace can help me win more ball games. That's why I did this deal.
I hate to admit it but I like it better for Aaron. The 76ers pick, right now atleast, should be a pretty good one in 2009. But I felt I needed to do something to make my team better.
Bulls/Rockets (Camby/Johnson for Nash/Chandler)
They made a big deal here and you have to love it for the Rockets. Joe Johnson makes Rockets fans go Marquis who? Camby is a nice veteran center in the middle. They also got Luke Walton who is a pretty nice player. As well as 4 1rst round draft chocies by 2010.
The Bulls get Steve Nash which gives them one of the better floor generals in the league and allows Manu to play more freely at the 2. Tyson Chandler won't give the Bulls any offense but he is one of the leagues best defenders and big men like him are hard to fine.
Overall I like for the Rockets a little more due to Chandler's lack of offense and all the picks they get however it was in no way a bad deal for Chicago. Steve Nash is a fine point guard and Chandler makes up for his lack of offense with his great defense.
Hornets/Nuggets (Francis for Stackhouse
I like this trade for both teams. For the Hornets they get Stackhouse, who I think has more game left in him then he has shown, and he will come off of the salary books this season, all $21 million dollars of his salary. Which is huge in this day and age of the hard cap and with the other big contracts the Hornets have.
For the Nuggets Stackhouse wasn't playing for them. In Steve, starter or backup, at least they get a player who can contribute and help them win. Steve is a very talented guard who just hasn't found the right place for him so hopefully Denver can be that place for him.
Like I said above I like it for both teams.
That's all i'm gone do right now. This article is done.
