1.New York - Greg Oden C - The Knicks would move to Oden and it would be scary. Oden and Yao could both be 25-12 guys, which is unheard of. Oh ya, and they'll probably get 6 blocks a game. Nasty. Need a center? Drafting Oden means Dalembert is expendable, and it would seem that some kind of Boris Diaw for Samuel Dalembert trade would make too much ense for the Knicks and the Lakers.
2.Philadelphia - Kevin Durant SF - The Sixers could play Durant at PF and finally replace Dirk Nowitzki. Durant, Rudy Gay and Gerald Green will not only fill the stat sheet, but also fill the seats. This trio will combine for some exciting basketball. Now if only the Sixers can get a point guard.
3.Miami - Hasheem Thabeet C - Tough choice here between Yi Jianlin and Thabeet. Yi gives the Heat the #1 scorer they need. Thabeet gives them a defensive anchor. The choice will be Thabeet most likely because everyone wants him. Thabeet is most definately the 3rd most waned player in this draft.
4.New York - Mike Conley PG - The Knicks dont have many weaknesses, but one is backup point guard. When TP went down this year, all the Knicks fans hearts sunk as well. Chris Duhon is a solid player, but he isnt Mike Conley. Conley will come in and give the Knicks started production from the bench, and will join his longtime teammate Greg Oden.
5.Minnesota - Yi Jianlin PF - The best scenario at this point would be for the Wolves to pick up a young player who has the potential to be a 20 point scorer. Outside of Oden and Durant, Yi has the best chance at that. Many scouts question Yi's upside, but giving the right RC adjustments expect Yi to be a 20-10 player one day.
6.Miami - Brandan Wright PF - The Heat are slightly worried about Tyrus Thomas, so they take Wright to pair with both Thomas and Thabeet. Wright looks to be more of a scorer, while Thabeet and Thomas are better defenders. Expect all 3 to get major minutes in Miami.
7.Toronto - Jeff Green SF - The Raps need to get some more size up front, but cant pass on a versatile player like Green. Green can be a poor-mans Boris Diaw in the Raps up tempo attack. Expect Green to come off the bench at 2, 3 and 4.
8.New Orleans - Roy Hibbert C - The Hornets need a center and a shooting guard and here they get the best center left. Hibbert has great size and a solid low post game. He and Nene should be a solid big man tandem for years to come. Expect the Hornets to offer big for a shooting guard in Free Agency.
9.LA Lakers - Tiago Splitter PF - Not ideal for the Lakers, but Spliter is the most talented big man left. He should be a very good defender, and could become a solid scorer as well. Expect Splitter to back up at 4 and 5 as a rookie.
10.Dallas - Al Thornton SF - Dallas takes the best scorer left in Thornton. The Mavs really like their backcourt combo of Guillermo Diaz and Steve Francis, but really need another scorer. Putting Thornton at SF will give them 3 guys capable of getting 20 points a night.
11.Toronto - Petteri Koponen PG - The Raps don't need another PG, but they are not about to make a reach for a big man when a solid player like Koponen is on the board. With Gilbert Arenas or Dwyane Wade soon to be traded, Koponen will be Kirk Hinrich's backup and play big minutes in the Raps up tempo offense.
12.San Antonio - Marco Belinelli SG - The Spurs have had good luck with recent drafts, including starting point guard Roko Ukic. In Belinelli they see a solid all around player who loves to shoot. If Belinelli progresses well he could team with Ukic to be the Spurs backcourt of the future.
