Team strengths:
- Youth
- Balanced scoring attack
- Blocks
The Bucks are one of the youngest and most talented offensive teams in the league. The only player who gets significant minutes that isn't capable of scoring 20 points on any given night is Eddie Griffin. The reason Griffin gets minutes is because since coming into the starting lineup the Bucks rarely don't get 10 blocks a game. The Bucks also have a top of the league talent in Carmelo Anthony who is near a triple double on many occassions. Mike Bibby has been brilliant since taking over the starting PG job. The Bucks have plenty of youth which is going to keep improving and giving them more depth.
Team weaknesses:
- Defense
- Second star wing player
- No Great Defenders
The Bucks give up more the 100ppg which is never good. The Bucks have no players that are great defenders that are capable of shutting down great players on the opposition. If the Bucks are going to win without a great defense they need a lot of scoring options. They have that, but none of the players are what they need for a starting SG or SF. This has lead to the Bucks having to adjust the lineup to try and find the best match which has been difficult.
Franchise Player:
Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony already seems like he has been in the BBS for a long time. It is only his 5th season and he is still improving. Already one of the top scores in the league, Melo provides excellent rebounding and passing for his size and position. Melo's only weakness is he is a below average defender. If he can elevate his defense just a little bit he could will easily be a top 10 player in the league.
Trade Block:
Looking for that stud wing or PG. Bibby has been great but a guy like Baron, TP, or Paul would be amazing beside of Melo. Any wing that can score 20ppg and has at least A- defense is someone the Bucks can use immediately.
Season Outlook:
The Bucks have all but locked up the 5 seed in the East. They will be facing either the Detroit Pistons or Toronto Raptors. The Bucks have not been successful against either in the past. The Bucks would rather face the Raptors in the 1st round since they have had some recent success against them.
