Los Angeles, CA -- The Los Angeles Clippers have finally have made a deal in efforts to bolster their club. On Wednesday, the Clippers announced a seven player trade with the Atlanta Hawks, which will bring foward Jermaine O'Neal and Ricky Davis to the Clippers.
In exchange, the Clippers will send former first round picks, Jordan Farmar and Daniel Gibson as well as guard Speedy Claxton, big men Adonal Foyle and Alonzo Mourning and future considerations.
"This deal has been in the works for quite some time," said GM Galo Pesantes in a statement. "The Hawks were looking to unload and we could not pass up the oppurtunity. We are just happy to have these guys here now. However we like to thank Jordan and Daniel for their contributions this year and wish them best of luck in Atlanta."

The Clippers (26-33) have been hunting for a big man for quite some time now. With O'Neal in the mix, Eddy Curry should get some more help down low and the scoring punch should be boosted with Ricky Davis in the fold.
Still 5 games out in the West, the Clippers have a formidable chance of making a run with the playoffs with this move which cancels the idea of a move for Curry, who was rumored to be heading to several clubs including the Lakers and Raptors.
"For now we are happy Eddy is still with the club," said Pesantes of the team's seven footer. "We are looking to make moves to get better in the future but he is a very important part of our franchise and will need value if he were to be moved."
However, this does not ensure the security for swingman Bonzi Wells. The 30 year old veteran was signed with the mid level exception by the Clippers this year but is rumored to be on the move and perhaps dealt by the end of the day. Yet, the rest of the season will tell if the Clippers can get over their rut and start to win ball games.
"We are always looking to make moves and hopefully we can make the right ones to get back to the top," Pesantes said.
