From the Central...
Atlanta - The Hawks have had a decent year considering their horrible offseason. Its gonna be tough over the next 2 years for the Hawks, and they haven't really made any moves to make that time frame easier. You'd expect them to move Deshawn Stevenson or Jamaal Tinsley, or maybe even both. But as of yet, nothing is happening.
New Orleans - The Hornets are very happy with the first stage of their rebuild. They have 3 very solid players, and the possibility of a top 5 pick. Aside from that, the Hornets also have a ton of cap, so expect them to once again be big players in Free Agency.
Chicago - The Bulls are the dominant team in the BBS right now. Currently sitting at 33-6, it seems likely they will repeat as BBS Champs. Whats even scarier? There not an old team, so they should continue to be elite for the next 5 years.
Cleveland - The Cavs continue to look like an up and coming team, but can they get better from within? Will players like Ben Gordon, Leandro Barbosa and Gerald Wallace get better? It seems as though all 3 have hit a plateau which means they may need to make a deal to reach the next level.
Detroit - The Pistons are always a scary team because of their talent level. They have bench guys that never see PT, that could start on other teams. While they are a good team now, it's quite obvious they are built for the future. Youngsters like LeBron James, Darko Milicic and Andrew Bynum are the future stars of the league.
Indiana - The Pacers made big moves this offseason trading Kevin Garnett for Mike Bibby. So far it looks like the Pacers are no better this year then they were last year. Will the Pacers make a big move to mortgage the future to try and win a title before Tim Duncan starts to decline? Or, will they tear it down, and if so where will TD end up?
Milwaukee - The Bucks have 2 of the leagues more exciting players in Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh. While Bosh hasn't hit his full stride just yet, Melo has already reached elite status, averaging 26 points and nearly 5 dimes and 7 boards. Melo is a possible MVP in the making in Milwaukee.
Toronto - The Raps are still perennial contenders led by Dwyane Wade and Gilbert Arenas, but this year has been shaky to say the least. Wade has been on the block almost all year with some deals very close to happening. This has really put a huge strain on his relationship with management. The Raptors seem to choose Arenas as their franchise player, but game in and game out Wade is the one who performs at a higher level.
