Can Wilcox Rise To The Challenge?
The New Jersey Nets were hit with injuries to big men Chris Kaman and Jamal Maglorie, they had to do something to give the team a boost. Chris Wilcox is who they hope can do just that.
"We think that Chris can come in and play real well. He is young, energetic, and a player to watch out for. We are excited to have Chris in New Jersey" stated GM Rommie.
Wilcox is expected to start right away and be a factor on offense.
"I think this is a great situation for me. Even without Chris and Jamaal we still have Robert Swift. Plus so many per minter players. Caron, Jose, Nate, I'm very excited to be getting the chance to play with all these guys. This was a team that was winning until Chris and Jamaal got injured so you know they are good."
The Nets have lost 7 games in a row. They have been out rebounded all but one game of their 7 game skid. They hope that can change with Wilcox.
"Chris is going to give us some rebounding, defense, and offense. He is the total package. He isn't going to score like Caron but he will be a great guy to have as your second or third option. He will give us a big lift" Rommie also said.
In exchange for Wilcox, the Nets gave up reserve swing man Lammond Murray and 2 2007 1rst round draft picks.
Hopefully Wilcox can rise to the challenge. It won't be easy, the East is loaded. There are a lot of good big men in the East.

Nice, but Im guessing Chris Wilcox doesn't deserve an article.
