Raptors-Bulls Scandal
By: Nathan Kopp
Krupaxson bared down the door of commissioner Spencer, early this afternoon. The commissioner was very shocked to see Dave, and was unaware of his rage. Dave apparently wanted to chat with the commish about the outcome of last night’s game with the Raptors.
Joe Johnson’s nose was broke two minutes into the game by Gilbert Arenas. Despite the game being stopped for some time, no foul was called. I am not talking a flagrant foul. No call at all was made on the play. The Bulls then played a man down the final 46 minutes of the game.
The Raptors were ahead 68-59 after three quarters. Coach and General Manager Dave Krupinski was extremely angry at the officiating of the game. It was unbearable how many calls Dwyane Wade was getting. It was also about how many no calls!
In the fourth quarter, the league leading Bulls began to make a run. The run was suddenly halted by a cluster of “phantom fouls.” On a fast break Dwyane Wade missed a lay up, and Elton Brand rebounded the ball. After the Bulls regained possession a foul was called on Marcus Camby. The foul was literally 4 seconds late, stopping any chance the Bulls had of scoring and returning the possession to the Raptors. Instant replay showed that Marcus Camby did not come in contact with Wade at any point during the play.
Coach Krupaxson said, “Come on ref, call it both ways.” Out of no where, he was immediately ejected from the game. The announcers were in as much shock as I was at the ruling.
The Raptors went on to win the game by one point 84-83. Despite the calls in the forth quarter, the Bulls did manage to cut the nine point deficit to a single point.
After a several hour meeting with the commish, Dave and Spencer came to the conclusion that the ref could have had something at stake with the game. Spencer did notice that Tim Donaghy was one of the three refs. He was also the one who made the call on Marcus Camby, nearly forty feet away from the basket. Donaghy also ejected Krupaxson without a motive. Upon some research, Spencer noticed that Donaghy also was the ref of Spurs-Suns game 3, and the Pistons-Pacers brawl.
Hours later the FBI and CIA uncovered a scandal that rocked the BBS world. Apparently Donaghy bet on games that he officiated. By doing this, Donaghy could control the point spread and essentially the winner of close games.
Donaghy, pictured above, alledgedly had a bet on the Raptors.
Commissioner Spencer declined to comment until further knowledge of the situation is known. Assistant General Manager Nathan commented, “ I knew the game had to be fixed. There is no way we would of lost to that team other wise. We are the Bulls!”
