Bulls Posied To Make Another Run
By: Nathan Kopp
The Bulls are off to a fast start, with a 9-2 record. This record is good enough for best in the conference and even best in the league. The roster resembles almost exactly the one that won the Bulls a championship last season.
Elton Brand and Dirk Nowitzki are carrying the team once again with stellar numbers. The two big men are combining to average over 55 points, 21 reobounds, and 5 blocks a game. Dirk Nowitzki is forth in the league in scoring at 30.5 PPG, trailing Kobe Bryant by 1.1 PPG. Brand is proving to be the best player in the paint for another season as he is notching 25 and 12.
The Bulls are asserting their dominance at home once again, as they are 7-1 in their own building. This impeccable home record is looking very similar to that of a year ago.
General Manager Dave, also known as “Krupaxson”, hopes this record can hold up as they play six of their next eight on the road. The Bulls play the 76ers, Heat, Hawks and Pistons on consecutive days on the road. Dave mentioned, “The only thing good about this home stretch is that we stay in the east. Long road stretches on the west tend to kill us. Well, actually not lately. Have you looked at the Western Conference lately?”
Assistant manager Nathan also feels confident about the team. When asked if he thinks the team can repeat he said, “I don’t mean to sound cocky at all but we are looking pretty good. I don’t want to make any predictions, but we have a great shot to go deep into the playoffs.”
