Team strengths:
- Rebounding
- Balanced scoring attack
Our biggest strength this year by far is rebounding. We are #1 in the league with 58.1 a game, and it has been something we really focused on while re-tooling the team. Another strength is a balance inside/outside scoring attack. While the teams' 3 leading scorers are more inside oriented, we have also been able to shoot the rock from long range efficiently.
Team weaknesses:
- Interior defense
- Depth up front
As far as 1-3 goes in the lineup, this team is pretty good defensively. Where we lack is interior defense, as Cisse and Webber have had a rough time logging big minutes due to foul trouble. We also lack a true great shot blocker, Cisse has done a very solid job so far, and if he can keep it up he can be servicable, but we'll see. Webber's blocks are also down more than usual.
Franchise Player:
Kevin Garnett
Kevin Garnett is definitely the most valuable player to this team. He's a great scorer, elite defender, and great rebounder, and can handle the ball. What can he not do. Love his game.
Trade Block:
Could use a great shot blocker for the long run. Or some better depth up front. Korolev, Van Exel, Cisse, can go in any deal.
Season Outlook:
Looking at this team, it would appear we have a pretty good shot at getting to the championship. It is well known the West isn't very strong as a whole, but there are still a couple teams out there that will give you a tough matchup. At most there is probably about a 2 year window to contend for a 'ship, given the age of some of these guys, and this is the best team I've had here by a long shot in my stay so we'll see what happens.
