1. Brandon Roy SG 6'6'' 215 22 B- B- C+ B- C A
The best all around prospect in this draft. Roy will be a very good score, ball handler, and defender. It isn't likely he will be a standout in any of these areas but he will a very good starter in this league with a few all-star appearances.
League Comparison : Joe Johnson
2. Andrea Bargnani SF 6'10'' 225 20 B- B- C+ C C A
A big man who plays like a guard. If defense is important to your team then Bargnani won't be number two on your draft board. He is going to be a very good score in this league who could average around 25ppg in his prime. He will also be a good ball handler and above average rebounder for a SF. His defense will never be even average.
League Comparison : poor man's Carmelo Anthony
3. Rudy Gay SF 6'9'' 220 19 B- C+ C B- C A
Gay may be the hardest to project early prospect. He is going to be a good player at best, but does he have the potential to be a great one? I don't see Gay as ever being a legit #1 scorer in this league. I don't see him being an all league defender either, but the potential is there. He will at least be close to both of these and thats why he won't slip out of the top 5 picks.
League Comparison : Larry Hughes
4. LaMarcus Aldridge C 6'11'' 240 21 C+ C D+ B C+ A
The best big man prospect in this draft looks very promising. Aldridge should be a very good all around big man that could go very high in this draft. He will have the size to play center or power forward early in his career. He is going to have great ratings but probably won't ever play completely up to them. He won't ever be a number one option, but he can be the scoring big that every great team needs.
League Comparison : Antonio McDyess
5. Randy Foye SG 6'4'' 210 22 C+ B- C+ C+ C A
Depending on what you need Foye is either the number one PG on your board or the number two SG. Foye will be able to start at either of those positions or be an amazing backup at both. Either way he is going to require help at the position he isn't playing.
League Comparison : poor man's Allen Iverson
6. Tyrus Thomas PF 6'9'' 215 19 B- C- D+ B C+ A
Thomas may be the best value prospect of this draft. If you put some weight room work into him he may be a top player in this league for a long time. He is going to be a great rebounder and shot blocker despite his size. His offensive game will better then expected, but his size will always hurt him.
League Comparison : Ben Wallace
7. David Lee PF 6'9'' 250 23 C+ C C C+ B+ B
David Lee is not going to ever be a great player in this league but with some RC work he will be a very good one. His rebounding is going to be top of the line. The rest of his game is going to be average at worst. He won't be the type of guy you want to start but he may be a guy you have to start.
League Comparison : No real comparison... great rebounder average to above average everywhere else
8. Sergio Rodriguez PG 6'3'' 168 20 C C+ B+ C D+ A
The top PG prospect in this draft has a lot of flaws. He is going to be one of if not the best ball handler in this league for a long time. The rest of his game is what we don't know about. If the other parts of his game ever develop he will be a top 5 PG in this league.
League Comparison : Jason Kidd without all league defense
9. Fran Vasquez PF 6'11'' 230 23 B- C C- C+ C+ A
Vasquez is going to be a good player in this league. He isn't going to be a great one. He is going to be a good scorer, defender, and rebounder but won't excel in any of them . He probably won't block many shots. He will be a good backup if thats the type of backup you want or an average starter.
League Comparison : Anderson Varejao
10. Marcus Williams PG 6'3'' 205 20 C+ C+ B C+ C B
Some may argue Marcus Williams is the top PG prospect in this draft. I think it is close but he is a close second. He won't have any weaknesses in his game but he will be very good all around. He will be good enough to win a championship with if the rest of your team has the talent.
League Comparison : Troy Hudson
The best all around prospect in this draft. Roy will be a very good score, ball handler, and defender. It isn't likely he will be a standout in any of these areas but he will a very good starter in this league with a few all-star appearances.
League Comparison : Joe Johnson
