Strengths:
Youth- The oldest key player on the team is 24 years old. A lot of the players seems to of not fully developed. The Bucks have a fair amount of success despite not being what they will be in a couple of years.
Scoring- The Bucks already have one of the top scorers in the league in Carmelo Anthony. Chris Bosh has developed into a descent second option and will only improve. Ike Diogu is already an amazing bench scorer who could turn into a starter if he keeps it up. Jameer Nelson is an above average scorer at PG. Jason Kapono can really put up points if given the minutes. Andris Biedrins even has the occasional 20+ point game. The Bucks almost always put up a good amount of points and you never know where it is coming from.
Block Shots- Biedrins is well on his way to being a 3+ block per game center, Eddie Griffin is one of the best blocking PF in the league, and Chris Bosh will get the occasional block. The Bucks already have three very good shot blocking options that are all going to get better and keep people from scoring as much in the low post as they are used to.
Weaknesses:
Turnovers- Even though their turnover amount decreased this year, the Bucks still turn the ball over way too much. It has cost them many games both of the last two season and needs to improve immediately for the team to take the next step.
Defense- The Bucks have no standout defenders. Bosh and Biedrins look to be above average but not to an overwhelming level yet. Anthony and Nelson are both terrible. The Bucks can score with the best of teams but they can't defend anyone. If the team can develop some defense it will take big strides towards a title.
Youth- Even though being young is nice, it has its downside. Your players aren't as good as they are valued and when you have a core like we do. You don't want to break it up.
Franchise player:
Carmelo Anthony - The team also considers Chris Bosh a franchise player but Melo is the current starter. He is a great scorer and gets a very good amount of boards and assists for a SG. He still has a lot of potential left and may soon become a triple double threat every night. His defense is below average but the rest of his game more then makes up for it.
Team Outlook:
After pulling an upset in last years playoffs, the Bucks missed this years playoffs by 2 games. The East is as hard of a conference as you will find. If the Bucks youth develops and they avoid injuries then they will easily be back in the playoffs next year. Look for them to get close to 50 wins.
