Please, don't get angry at me if I hate your team. This is just my personal opinion. Take it with a grain of salt. The other 3 divisions will be added as they are completed.
Atlantic Division
Boston Celtics
I like the situation in Boston. They recently surrounded Dwight Howard with another legit big man in Andrew Bynum. Theo was a great signing for the Celtics also. I really urge them to get rid of Mashburn before he either dies or they lose him via retirement. In the coming years, if they can add two more decent prospects to their roster via the draft, they will be a great team in the future.
Final Grade: B
Miami Heat
The Heat just went about getting back their 07/10 first round draft picks, however it came at the cost of Danny Granger and Devin Harris. They can now begin to form a youthful team that will consist of Livingston, Webster and Varejao. They will need to add a really nice prospect though if they want to move anywhere. I think they are a mediocre rebuilding team
Final Grade: C+
New Jersey Nets
Skillz really likes this team for some reason. Their franchise player is 5’9”, they don’t own their first round pick for God knows how long and their newly appointed Assistant GM just got ripped on his first two trades. In my opinion, they need to deal Francis for some youth now and Butler for a top 10 pick come draft time to a contender. It’s going to be hard to rebuild without your pick for the next 3 years.
Final Grade: D
New York Knicks
Trading for Tony Parker was one of the greatest moves we have seen in the BBS in the last couple of years. He is only 23 and is already the leagues best point guard and top 10 league wide talent. Pair him with the leagues best center over the next decade and you really have something in New York. Expect a championship soon, however don’t get to sure of one as there are still many fine teams in the BBS to compete with (see Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Indiana and Golden State) and many crap teams (see New Orleans, Minnesota, Sacramento) who are simply feeding them talent and unawares that they are strengthening them for more and more years into the future. Good luck New York.
Final Grade: A-
Orlando Magic
Orlando are an incredibly boring team. They are stuck in the middle of nowhere. Their best player, Lamar Odom has just about hit his peak. Potapenko is affordable yet nothing special and Randolph isn’t a good enough player to push this team over the edge. I think they need some sense of direction because without that, they will be a borderline playoff team for a while. They are the Memphis Grizzlies of the East however with a better record. Talent but not a winning combination.
Final Grade: C+
Philadelphia 76ers
Philly, unlike many other shit teams in the BBS suck,(New Orleans, New Jersey) however they have a game plan and are sticking to it. They have their picks and recently added Gerald Green to the mix. Putting him alongside the likes of Childress, Warrick and May as well as a decent free agent this off season and a top 3 prospect makes times in Philadelphia painfully exciting.
Final Grade: B
Washington Wizards
This Wizards team are the epitome of mediocracy. Sure they have talent in Pierce, Walker and the Kandi man, yet they will never compete and never look like competing. GM Jah needs to either go all out and rebuild or all out and win. They are stuck between the two and the future is looking boring in the nations capital.
