There are many teams in the BBS looking to be active with trades. Here is a look at who is avaliable.
Hornets
The whole Hornets team is pretty much up for grabs. They are not in playoff contention and are looking to deal Steve Nash, Rip Hamilton, Al Harrington, Joe Smith, and Anthony Parker. Parker, Hamilton, Harrington, and Smith all can prodvide some scoring and defense at their positions. They could really help a playoff team. While Steve Nash is still a good point guard that can get a team to the next level.
Most likely looking for short contracts, pick, and young talent.
Clippers
They have several nice players avaliable. Corey Maggette, Raja Bell, and Keith Van Horn. There are a lot of teams that could really use a guard like Maggette or Bell. Van Horn is an aging veteran but still can score 15 points, grab 7 bords, and shoot a high percentage. He can still help a team win.
They are going to ask for 1rsts, young players, and expierings.
Pistons
Shaqiule O'Neal and Jason Kidd are avaliable. Both are getting up there in age but Shaq is still dominate and he has a very very reasonable contract. He would be well worth it for a team looking to win now because not to many young guys will develope into the player that Shaq is. Kidd is a stat stuffer at the point guard spot. Great passer and defender, capable shooter.
The Pistons want a young big in return.
Steve Francis
The Nets are awful and do not want to waste Francis by making him play for a rebuilding team. Francis is one of the most complete point guards in the game today and can help any team looking to win now. He is in his prime and still has some good yeras left in him.
The Nets are looking for young talent and/or multiple 1rsts in return for him. Salary fillers to make the deal work.
Boris Diaw
Maybe the most complete player in the game today. Has great size. He can score inside, shoot the ball with range, handle and pass it well, and defend. He puts up 20, 8, and 5 with little to no effort. The scary thing is he will only get better.
The Lakers have Luol Deng waiting in the wings so they can deal Diaw. They are asking for a young big in return.
Ricky Davis
Davis is a very nice scorer to have either starting or coming off your bench. He is perfect for a team looking to make a playoff run as he can take it to the hoop and finish, shoot the ball from the perminter, and defend. On top of that his contract is ending, 9 million dollars off a team's salary.
A little unknown as to what the Hawks want but they could be looking for an even better swingman than Davis. Rumors are they may be willing to add Nenad Krstic in a deal.
There are more names on the block but these are some of the bigger names. There should be a big name or two moved here before to long because there a lot of big names on the block. Teams should have no problems finding a quality player to help their team.
