BBS Power Rankings:
#1 - Chicago Bulls (35-9): See absolutely no flaws in this team right now. Manu Ginobli continues to pass the ball with extreme efficiency. The JJ deal has seemed to be the missing piece that Krup was looking for. Dirk and Brand continue to put up MVP like numbers. Camby continues to be a rebounding machine and a defensive beast. Rasheed Wallace, Jamal Crawford, and Luke Walton = Sick bench players.
#2 - Golden State Warriors (29-8): As of now the Kobe Bryant blockbuster deal has seemed to favor the Warriors. Then adding a piece in Tmac which turned into Vince Carter, allowed us to see the beautiful sig that James displays today. The tandum have put up nearly 60 ppg, 15 rbs, 10 asst, 3 stls and 2 bpg. Scot Pollard has served his purpose as a solid C by putting up nice boards and bpg numbers. The franchise that started around B Davis, continues to work around him, 24.8 ppg, 3.4 rbs, 10.4 asst and 2.3 stls.
#3 - New York Knicks (31-11): The Ming/TP combo continues to impress. 4.3 BPG from Ming is outstanding, to go along with 29.3 ppg and 11.9 rbs. TP continues to hold the fort down nicely averaging over 23 ppg and 10 dimes a night. Ben Wallace does the intangibles on the glass and as a defensive presence. Diop is also a very nice D man to have.
#4 - Indiana Pacers (26-14): This team continues to play outstanding defense. TD/KG combo is always a threat and they are always in consideration for MVP awards come season's end. Finley/Hill continue to be solid #3 and #4 scoring options. Cisse chips in solid D off the bench.
#5 - Detroit Pistons (23-13): Another team focused on playing great D. Darko serves as a solid option off bench, along with Elson and Closs. Kidd just continues to do the little things to help this team win games, although the team feels they should be playing much better. The Lebron James deal may end up a big addition to the team, probably more or less for the future, as Tay Prince continues to play well. Shaq is well Shaq, "The Diesel," and Ron Artest plays extremely well offensively and defensively.
#6 - Toronto Raptors (25-15): Two time defending champions, a team that should not be under the radar. DJ continues to do manuevers to field a champion. D Wade continues to sim monster #'s, and Gil Arenas is another scoring machine. Vladmir Stepania is a sick D man at 3.6 bpg.
#7 - Atlanta Hawks (20-13): A playoffs or bust season for GM Bender. So far the team has responded. JO/Big Z have been great bigs for him thusfar. Krstic is a nice future big to have. Jared Jeffries has put up suprisingly monster #'s.
#8 - Houston Rockets (17-13): T Chandler is a D beast, which is an understatement. Fortson somehow continues to put up 25/12 #'s on a season basis. A Jam is still a scoring force putting up nearly 20 ppg. Daniels adds in another 15 ppg and the little man, Boykins runs the fort nicely.
#9 - Miami Heat (24-20): Basically Pau Gasol or bust. Varejao chips in his 16 and about 10. Miller adds in 12 ppg as a minor option. Murphy boards at a decent rate.
#10 - Boston Celtics (21-19): D Howard and Bynum = A sick future of bigs. Mashburn is yet to show his age on the scoring end of things. Papa has surprised most of us, playing the one extremely well. Hermann is a threat as well.
