Things are starting to heat up here in the BBS, and now we have a showdown between Hernando LA Lakers GM and Scott Cleveland Cavaliers GM. Best 3 out of 5 wins.
#1: If you were to pick any team to take over now, which would it be and why?
Hernando: My team, Hollywood. I love my team. Deron Williams, Boris diaw, Amare stoudemire, Emeka okafor, the grizz pick, the nets pick, hornets pick, and my pick, a nice young core and great value in picks.
Scott: I'd go with the LA Lakers. They have a lot of youth, some of which is still undeveloped and some of which is well developed. They have a lot of places to use RCs and look to be about a SG away from having a young studly lineup set up.
Point goes to Scott. Yeah I believe their a piece away also.
Scott up 1-0
#2: What team will win the BBS title?
Hernado: Gotta go with the chicago bulls... they were looking like the favorites before their trade for joe johnson, but now it looks like they should run away with the title.
Scott: Chicago. Talented all around, playing awesome without Brand and Camby, and they probably have the best coach in the league. Dave talks about him being an awesome strategist a lot, and he really is.
Point goes to Hernando. Both good points, but I really love that JJ trade for Krup.
Tied up at 1.
#3: What player will be better Dwayne Wade or Lebron James?
Hernando: Dwyane wade. He's just simply too good right now, and i cant see lebron ever getting as good on defense
Scott: D-Wade takes this honor. The kid is 24 and has sick ratings and is scoring 27.5 points sharing the ball with Arenas and Lewis. If he can have one or two more solid TC improvements, he will be amazing. While Lebron is going to be real good, I think that Wade will be even more special.
Point goes to Scott. The stats do not lie, plus I think Lebron's defense can be decent.
Scott up 2-1
Tension builds up, Garf needs this next question to remain in it.
#4: What current playoff BBS team will be on the outside looking in come season's end?
Hernando: i'll go on record and say that every single team in the playoffs today, will be in the playoffs at seasons end. everyone that isn't in the west is either tanking or terrible, and the top 8 in the east is just too good.
Scott: I definitely think that Sacramento will be a playoff team come season's end, so I think that this answer is going to come out of the West. To me, it comes down to Dallas and Denver. Both teams have negative point differentials. Dallas does have a go-to scorer in Stackhouse, but in the end I think that won't be enough. I think it will be close but they end up on the outside.
Point goes to Hernando. I believe that the top 8 in east are all legit and also believe that it will be Denver looking outside the playoffs not Dallas.
All notted up at 2.
Final question, who will be the showdown champion??
The pressure builds up for both GM's.
#5: Is family guy the best show ever invented?
Hernando: Despite your profound love for family guy, it is not the best show ever invented. it may be the 2nd best mature cartoon show, next to southpark, but the best show ever created is either a) boy meets world b) entourage or c) 24
Scott: Never been a big fan of the show, but the few episodes that I do catch (since a few of my roommates at college watch it) have been pretty good. Personally, I'm an Office fan with CSI close behind.
Scott gets point and wins 3-2, due to Hernando's hate for family guy.
Now Scott with his 30 seconds of "Face Time."
Scott: I'd like to promote the new movie "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer." One reason and one reason only: Jessica Alba, enough said.
All Golden State Warriors fans would be proud. That concludes this edition of "Showdown of the GM's." I'd like to thank Hernando and Scott for participating.
