Franchise Player:
Jason Richardson is the real deal. Last year in the playoffs really showed me how great this guy was. He is an outstanding scorer and deadly from behind the arc. He has high percentages and a good amount of steals. The decrease in defense may hurt, but his offensive numbers are better than before and he is leading our franchise to a winning record.
Strengths-
We are a well rounded team that knows how to score. At our 1, 2 and 3 positions, those players avg 20 + ppg, we are very deadly. Down low are big men avg double doubles and rebounding the ball like crazy. 12 + boards a game is damn good from Dampier and Mihm. Our depth is another strength, with guys like Bobby Simmons, rookie Kirk Snyder, Damon Jones and Rookie Chuck Hayes on the bench we are really deep.
Weaknesses:
I think a few of our biggest weaknesses is that our big men can get into foul trouble often and early and that will leave some trouble to our bench 4 and 5 players. We are pretty thin on the front court depth wise. We are not a big shot blocking team, I like to have one or two guys who can get you 2 + blocks a game, but we rarely block shots and that can hurt us.
Team Outlook:
I look to win around 50 games or more this season. I think with the way we played last year in the playoffs there is no reason why we can not do that again. I will be looking forward to going really deep in the playoffs.
Trade Block:
Could trade a guard like Damon Jones for a big men of the same caliber. Deng and Jrich are the hardest to get.
