Team strengths: The Pacers don't lack much. Whether they have enough to beat their best competitors is a huge question mark though.
Defense, rebounding and handling is all there, as is the star power.
Team weaknesses: Point guard play, seemingly as always, is in question. Hudson and Claxton do well for themselves but don't take over games at all.
Injuries are always a factor with this team, especially now that they're aging.
Scoring off of the bench was a big weakness last year. This will have to be corrected, or the offense will struggle to find consistency.
Franchise Player: Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett
The duo is back to take another shot at it.
Season Outlook: Last year was a big learning experience. Looking back there were a couple of things I could have done for this team that never came to mind. Regardless, this season relies greatly on health near the end. The Pacers won't beat any of the monsters in the east without Garnett and Duncan on the court.
The sophomores from the 04 draft were extremely disappointing in training camp and that forces the team to turn to other sources for production.
The goal is still the championship, although not many will give Indiana a chance.
