Remain the leagues highest scoring team, dropping over 108 ppg. Still tops in assists per game and in limiting turnovers(10.5). Only team shooting over 47% from the floor. Excel at the FT line. Deadly from downtown, shooting over 42%.
2(3) - Toronto Raptors (43-11) -
Leagues best 3pt shooting team, avging 43% from the land beyond. Also hold opponents to a league low 42.5% from the field. 4th in league scoring and 2nd in rebounding. Tops in blocks per game with 9.9 per and in forcing turnovers(15 per).
3(2) - Detroit Pistons (35-15) -
Dominant on the glass, grabbing a league best 53.8 boards a night. Share the ball extremely well. Kidd leads the league in assists per game. Stingy defense that holds teams to 95 ppg. Highly efficient offense. Attempt 32.5 FTs per game.
4(5) - Phoenix Suns (44-20) -
Best in the West. Playing extremely well without Webber. Good rebounding team that forces plenty of turnovers. Excellent perimeter defense. Bibby is an underrated player.
5(7) - San Antonio Spurs (38-19) -
Averaging 107 ppg. Strong rebounding team. Efficient offense that is excellent from 3pt range. The leagues top FT shooting team at 82%. Forcing opposition to shoot below 44% from the floor and 38% from deep.
6(6) - Los Angeles Lakers (38-19) -
Third highest scoring team in BBS. Good defensive unit. Avg the 2nd most blocks per game and force a lot of turnovers. Very efficient offense. Bryant is having an MVP type season, avging a league high 30 ppg.
7(4) - New York Knicks (34-22) -
A top defensive unit, holding opponents to just over 43% shooting. Excel at getting to the FT line. Solid on the boards. The recent acquisition of Tony Parker gives the Knicks two franchise talents. But the loss of starting F Antonio McDyess will be felt.
8(10) - Golden State Warriors (34-20) -
Among scoring leaders. Avg the 2nd most steals in the league. Efficient offense that gets to the line and can hit from 3pt land. Their defense creates 14.5 turnovers a game. McGrady and Davis is one of the best backcourts in the league. Ricky Davis is having a breakout year, avging a career best 15ppg on 46%.
9(8) - Houston Rockets (34-24) -
Hold teams to under 97 ppg. Great at keeping the opposition off the glass. Great at getting to the charity stripe. Chandler looks like a future DPOY candidate. Fortson and Jamison form one of the most underrated scoring duos in the league.
10(9) - Washington Wizards (30-23) -
Lead the league in steals per game with 10.5. Can board and are very unselfish. Strong 3pt shooting team. Aggressive defensively, causing 14.5 turnovers a night. Walker continues to have a career year, avging over 26 ppg. He also helps on the glass and is an excellent passer(4.4 apg). Pierce remains a cornerstone.
