Kobe Bryant is upset with coaching and management of the LA Lakers. "How do they expect me to win day in and day out by myself. Are they just going to wait for my team to develop and when they do I'll be 32 years old. I want to win now." Kobe exclaimed in an interview to 1050 ESPN Radio show host Stephen A. Smith. The Lakers have been a dominant team in the West but haven't done much to make themselves any better the past two seasons and Kobe is lashing out at ownership for a change or is demanding to be traded. "I'm the best player in the league and I deserve better, you don't see teams out East who have much better teams than we do here sitting around and waiting hoping to get better. They are go getters and get what they want to improve they aren't passive like Hernando Courtright. Coach does same thing day in and day out in practice and sure we can win games like that but we never do anything to improve, we never make changes to the lineup to get better." shouted an angry Bryant.
The Lakers have seemed to put their team into cruise control after winning their first championship in franchise history. Fans are starting to share Kobe's frustration as LA Times writer Bill Plastke has written several articles about the lack of managerial skills hurting the potential of this team.
"I've worked hard to get better and every day this offseason I was in the gym working on parts of my game to improve," Kobe stated. When asked if he worked out with anyone else on his team or if he saw anyone else working out, "No bro." Kobe is having a career year shooting over 50% which is the for the first time in his career. He is also passing the ball more averaging over 5 assists a game.
Kobe has expressed interest in going to the eastern conference and said he would love to be paired up with possibly Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan in Indiana. He also mentioned about not leaving town but switching teams to join the Clippers. "Anywhere would be better than here" Kobe responded when asked about him being a Laker.
One thing is for sure the only time you want Kobe Beef is when you're eating Japanese. This is a serious problem as Kobe wants out and if he doesn't get what he wants the Lakers will drown to the bottom of the West.
