This was the year of the injuries for the Chicago Bulls. A regular season that was spoiled with key starters missing games that caused the Bulls to slide to the #5 seed in the Eastern conference which really hurt the Bulls as they played most of their games on the road. Terrell Brandon was the biggest injury of the season as he tore a tendon in his leg that sidelined him for about half the regular season. Penny Hardaway, Rasheed Wallace, and even Elton Brand were down at points in the season as well. Brand really suffered from his 20 games out which hurt his chances at the MVP trophy he was striving so hard for. It even made him slip to Third All-League team behind two players with less convincing numbers. One of the more shocking injuries to occur this season was that to GM Krupimpski. GM Krupimpski was struck by a car while returning home via skateboard from practice. The car ran a stop sign and then proceeded to turn while sideswiping the GM as he flew over the trunk and into the sidewalk. It was very bloody but luckily no serious injuries occurred but plenty of bruising and scarring up and down his right side. This really hurt his time spent with the team this season and almost forced them out of the playoffs in round 1. He came back to coach against a very talented Pistons team and they pulled together for a 4-2 series win. The Bulls didn't have much fuel left in their tank as they were manhandled against the Raptors the next series 4-1. GM Krupimpski says that he will continue to skate home but just be even more cautious of cars not abiding the law and he will be ready for another crack at the championship trophy next season.
