1. Los Angeles Clippers
Dwight Howard PF
The Clippers need a little bit of everything. No better way to start out your rebuilding plan then with a great, young big man. Howard should be a 20 and 10 player for years to come.
2. Denver Nuggets
Andre Iguodala SF
The Nuggets have their star in LeBron James. Now they need to develop a supporting cast. Andre Iguodala is a perfect fit. Hes extremely versatile. He can defend and handle well enough to play 3 positions. James and Iguodala should be the best wing combo in the BBS within 3 years.
3. Portland Trail Blazers
Luol Deng SF
The Blazers are basically starting from scratch and this is a make or break draft for them. Getting Deng will give them a potential #1 option who can also defend and board. Not a bad start for the Blazers.
4.New Jersey Nets
Josh Smith SF
The Nets have assembled a great group of youngster. Theyd love to add a star like Howard, but instead they get a great defender in Smith. Smith also has enough upside to one day develop into a solid scorer as well.
5.Cleveland Cavaliers
Al Jefferson PF
The Cavs need a young star to build around. While most scouts feel Marvin Williams should be the pick here, dont be surprised to see Jefferson land in Cleveland. Jefferson could become a dominant low post scorer.
6.Portland Trail Blazers
Andris Biedrins C
The Blazers will also think hard on Marvin Williams and then go with Biedrins. Biedrins and Deng will give them an outstanding young forward combo to build around.
7.Atlanta Hawks
Marvin Williams SF
The Hawks could really use a low post scorer. Unfortunately all the best are gone. In Williams they get a superb talent who could develop into a very good small forward.
8. Los Angeles Clippers
Charlie Villanueva SF
The Clipps get an A draft on the Howard pick alone, but Charlie V could make it an A+. Villanueva is a SF/PF type that can score inside and out. Villaueve could become a perfect compliment to Dwight Howard.
9. Los Angeles Clippers
Devin Harris PG
The Clipps need a PG of the future, and think pretty hard on Harris, Jameer Nelson and Sebastian Telfair. The end up taking Harris because of his defensive abilities. Harris may not be a dynamic scorer or ball handler, but he should become a defensive stopper.
10. Portland Trail Blazers
Jameer Nelson PG
Like the Clippers, the Blazers also need a young PG. The Blazers take Nelson because he is a solid player on both ends of the floor. With Nelson, this draft gives the Blazers 3 new starters.
11. Cleveland Cavaliers
J.R. Smith SG
The Cavs have a fine young post player, but now they need some perimeter help. They are excited by the potential of Sebastian Telfair, but even more so by the outside shooting of J.R. Smith. Smith could become an explosive scorer if given enough attention.
12. Boston Celtics
Hakim Warrick PF
The Celtics seemed pretty happy with their 1st round pick last year in Josh Howard. This year they get a similar player in Hakim Warrick. Warrick and Howard should give the Celtics a very solid defensive forward combo for years to come.
13. Portland Trail Blazers
Kendrick Perkins C
The Blazers have rebuil their team in this draft. having already acquired 4 solid players, they can take a risk now with Perkins. Perkins could be a solid starting center, or a big player with lots of potential, and no production.
