1(2) - Philadelphia 76ers (22-6) - Philly jumps up a spot to grab the #1 overall ranking. Currently possess the best record in the league thanks to Dirk Nowitzki and Toni Kukoc(?). Unfortunately, they may not remain in the top spot for long as Dirk is out approx. 55 days with Patella Tendinitis. Their dominance on the boards will have to continue if they are to stay among the elite.
2(4) - Golden State Warriors (22-7) - GST is the best in the West. They average 107 ppg on league high 47.5% from the floor. Lead the league in steals per game and are second in blocks. Wade looks to be the early favorite for MVP.
3(1) - Detroit Pistons (13-5) - Lead the league in assists per game and are second in steals. Second in FT's attempted and are a top 3 defensive unit. Hold opponents to a league low 89.9 ppg.
4(8) - Washington Wizards (19-6) - Solid defensive unit that is also second in the league in PPG. Tied as the leagues top rebounding unit, grabbing 54.3 per contest. Most efficient 3pt shooting team, hitting at a 44% clip.
5(3) - Toronto Raptors (17-8) - Holding opponents to a league low 41.9% shooting. Also lead the league in blocks per game at 9.4 per contest. Teams only avg 20.7 assists against.
6(6) - San Antonio Spurs (19-9) - Hold teams to 43% shooting. Shoot over 80% at the FT line, which is tops in the league.

8(10) - Houston Rockets (17-10) - Good rebounding team that creates steals. Lead the league in FT attempts per game at 34 per. Hold opposing 3pt shooters to 36%.
9(-) - Dallas Mavericks (15-9) - New to the top 10 this week. Have 5 double digit scorers. One of the better rebounding teams.
10(7) - Phoenix Suns (14-9) - 5th in league scoring. Shoot 46% from the field and 79% from the line. Good interior defense with exceptional guard play. Hughes is playing at an All-league level.
